My fear is that with realignment off the table for maybe ever, there will be no urgency to improve football.

If they truly believe that they'd move football to independent status and the ballot programs to the Big East. (I am not a fan who believes this should happen FYI) That ain't happening so they aren't going to shun the football program. It'll be fixed, I hope.

Turned out to be such a self-inflicted kick in the nuts. Diaco went from potential savior to malignant tumor to the program real quick.
