UCONN - Dayton Game Thread

Well this is going about exactly as I predicted (89-66 for the game, 46-36 at halftime) -- maybe a little worse. Our defense isn't what it has been in years past and that was bound to show eventually.

She would at least get rebounds but she can't guard the perimeter.

I was thinking the same thing. At least Kiah would get a rebound and clog the middle on defense.

Tuck is a great player but some of her decisions tonight.....l. Argh

I never liked her outside game. Love her inside and down low, I wish she stick with her best.

Even tho she's capable of making the 3 point shot, in a close game, she's just not consistent enough IMHO. But she's fabulous around the basket....

If nothing else she affects shots. Since the other 4 guys on the court can't seem to do that, let's let the intimidator go to work.

Having Kiah in the middle can still help our perimeter D if Stewie is in , since Stewie can extend her defense out further and into the lane, not rim guarding

I agree. Dayton, for all their "lesser" talent, is going toe to toe and really, running better offense and playing better defense IMHO. Honestly I can't believe they didn't beat L'ville by 30.

Dayton and Uconn are both playing good games. Dayton are playing Uconn face up. One back to the basket shot the entire half. Give credit to Dayton's coach. Nice job matching Uconn big group the last few minutes.
