Top 1st, the UConn offense gets the bases loaded with 1 out with 2 batters hit by pitches and a walk. The 3 runners are left on base. No score.
 
Bottom 1st, Suchy walks the leadoff batter, this is followed by a double that puts 2 runners in scoring position with no outs. The next batter drives in 2 runs with a double, 2-0 Creighton.

With 1 out a single drives in another run. 3-0 Creighton.

Another 1 out single puts runners on the corners. The runner on 1B steals 2B, due to an error on Rispoli the runner on 3B scores. 4-0 Creighton. A 2 out single drives in another run, 5-0 Creighton.

That 1st inning is the difference between this year and previous years. We don't get that hit with the bases loaded due to wildness and then Creighton does what we should be able to do.

On a strikeout for the 2nd out, both runners steal a base to put them both in scoring position. Ellisen gets a ground out to end the inning with no runs coming in. 5-0 Creighton.

Down 9 runs and we go down on 7 pitches. Team is done for today, they just want to get it over with. We are certainly doing our part at the plate to make it a fast game, unfortunately our pitching is awful (walks,HBP,wild pitches) galore.

I am still used to the time when baseball games took well under 3 hours. That was the way it was when I was young when I followed baseball starting in the mid to late 1960's and for many years after that. But that has certainly been changing. Of course, in recent years it seems the time for all sports to play their games has been getting longer and longer.

Top 6th, MacArthur gets a leadoff walk, he advances to 2B on a 1 out wild pitch. Ends up being a scoreless inning for the UConn offense which had 2 strikeouts this inning. 9-0 Creighton.
 
Bottom 6th, Ellisen with no out ends up having the bases loaded. A 1 out error by Minick brings in a run and leaves the bases loaded, 10-0 Creighton. Ellisen comes out of the game, Hamberger takes the mound.

Hamberger gives up a single that drives in 2 runs to the 1st batter he faces. 12-0 Creighton going to the next inning.

How is this game still going isn’t the mercy rule in effect? 10 runs; 7 innings…

From what I recall from games in the past, the mercy rule for Big East conference weekend games during the regular season only applies to the last game of the series. That would be the travel day for the road team.
