It sure would send a clear message to the ACC if UConn beat UNC in a bowl game.
Clear message in regards to what though? The ACC has been and will continue to be convinced that FBS schools not named UConn hold more appeal to them. We're no more than a fly buzzing in a room and not on their radar. Besides which, the ACC would invite Memphis over us so that the other FBS school in Kentucky has a like-minded partner.

he's under the delusion that if we wear a short enough dress that the ACC will accept UConn and will then become the third best conference conference instead of being in a conference that will be parted out like a norwegian tourist who took a wrong turn in a Bangkok alleyway

My buddies, why not check some of the social media sites frequented by ACC fans. Many are admitting that UConn would be a great add, even if football gets added a few years later. Apparently bothers them that B12 may lure us before they do.

Most of Memphis's opponents were mediocre teams. Their academics are ranked well below ACC schools.

When did Memphis move to “Kentucky”?

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

In terms of convenience, Pinstripe Bowl would be incredible. Gasparilla Bowl and Myrtle Beach Bowl also not too bad. Boca Bowl at least you end up somewhere nice for the game. Weekday games in Detroit and Phoenix would be tough to justify for me.

let’s see how our hometown buddies at ESPN try and screw with us as seems to be customary.

need 247 to be right so bad

Is the big 10 short bowl eligible teams?

Even if they were, I find it hard to believe they wouldn't fill the Pinstripe. That is one of the highest paying bowls out there, over 2 million last I checked.

They would give up one of their lesser paying bowl slots I would imagine.

I hear ya mate, I do, but they didn't care about academics when they took UL over us. Memphis is worse than UL academically, but they are having better success in footbal, and that's all they care aboutl. Despite what ACC fans write on their boards, the presidents of those universities are the only opinions that matters, and they have resoundingly said no and shut the door to us. We could beat the top ACC team this year, and it wouldn't change our fate one iota.

This means nothing.
