Outside of the playoffs there will be less than 5 bowl games where 20k+ fans show up to support the team at the bowl game. This isn't 1995 anymore.

Again, we can't be afraid. Furthermore, when others in the country are glancing through the bowl results, they aren't saying to themselves, "was that the first P5 matchup UConn won this year??"

They'll simply say, "Oh...UConn beat ___ (Rutgers, Vandy, etc)".

People overestimate how much the nation actually knows about the other teams...

Unlikely. The vast majority of bowl slots not decided by contract aren’t announced until after the conference championship games are over.
