My guess on locations is St. John’s, Georgetown, Xavier, Providence and Seton Hall at Gampel and Creighton, Nova, Marquette, Butler and DePaul and XL.

Unlike last year's immediate gauntlet, we really seem like we "ease into" the tough teams for the conference schedule. Both Marquette games are really late in the schedule...

I have us at 14-1 in the first 15 with that schedule. And then possibly losing 3/5 to close. I'm sure we'll lose a random second one somewhere in the first 15, so I like us at 15-5 overall.

St johns and Gtown SHOULD BE at XL, since both games are during break.

With a loaded Big East this year, what's the toughest stretch? Every season seems to have 1 stretch that seems very tough.

Just checked the sched on the Conference site. They don't have UConn playing Villanova!

Zero excuse not to have the Xavier, Marquette, Nova and Seton Hall games at Gampel. Weekends NEED to be on campus

I'm sure this has been asked somewhere but I can't find it....
When (traditionally) has the GP/XL designations been announced?

Having 3 Sunday conference games but only 2 Saturday games as the reigning national champion is bordering on disgraceful

I'm not sure what schedule you're looking at but we have 7 Saturday and 3 Sunday conference games. And if you talking about only home games it's 4 Saturday and 3 Sunday

in conference, it's 3 Saturday and 3 Sunday. For context, UConn had 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday last year which was second lowest. This year Saturday Big East home games by school:

Providence
6
Butler
5
DePaul
4
Creighton
4
Georgetown
4
Seton Hall
4
UConn
3
Xavier
3
Marquette
3
Villanova
3
St. John's
3

Unlike like last year where UConn played I believe 5 or 6 times on Saturday away, it's only 4 such times this year. We are moving in the right direction but the conference can do better.

I see what happened, it is 3. UConn listed part of the 2/17 away game vs Georgetown as home so I counted 4 when I was scanning

Some things they like about this schedule-

There’s a nice break around the holidays, so the guys get a solid few days at home, and there’s some time to regroup headed into heavy conference play.

Their home/away split isn’t bad- 6 at home, 4 away for the first half, reversed for the second. I don’t mind that for a relatively inexperienced team.

Teams always look for the 3 games in a 7 day stretch. UConn has four of them this season. In the first three, it’s two home games and one away. The last one is tougher- home against the Hall, at Marquette, at Providence.

Their two extended breaks in conference play (Saturday game to a Sunday game) fall between two of those 3 in 7 stretches and right before the last one.

There aren’t too many easy wins in this conference. It’s going to be so much fun. And frustrating. But mostly fun.

I have a sneaky suspicion this is because of XL situation

Probably. I don't really understand what the goal is here. The AD states they are losing money putting UConn Athletics in Hartford, the programs are losing priority to a minor league hockey team that few care about, and forcing games to be pushed from Saturday to Sunday going against NFL football to appease said hockey program they have to pay for the pleasure of calling Hartford home (allegedly). And this is all for a building 20 years past its prime that is just about ready to be torn down. I dont see how politicians in Hartford find this to be a suitable partnership. What are we doing here.

Providence also shares an arena with a minor league hockey team. So not sure we can blame that on the Sunday games.
