The UConn baseball fall ball roster is now up on the UConn athletics website. There is one player on that roster who I don't believe was previously reported here. That would be LHP Andrew Sears, who played with Division 3 Rhode Island College. Sears was a starting pitcher for Rhode Island College. Sears is listed as a Junior for his first season with UConn:

Apart from two weird starts, he absolutely dominated college competition…great k to bb ratio. Possible Sunday starter.

One of Andrew Sears starts this past season was a 9 inning complete game victory over eventual national champion Eastern Connecticut State where he gave up 1 run. That really grabbed my attention. Certainly would not surprise me if one or two of the transfers end up in the weekend starting rotation. The fall ball competition for the weekend starting rotation is going to be interesting, there are certainly a number of candidates for those spots.

The tweet announcing Chase McCrary as having committed to UConn baseball has vanished, as has PerfectGame.com listing him as a UConn recruit. So at this point, I'm assuming that he is no longer committed to UConn baseball.
 

Class of 2024 LHP/OF Cayden Suchy has committed to UConn! The 6 foot 185 Sterling, Virginia Native is ranked as a Perfect Game 8 and has a fastball of around 84mph and had played for the Canes U16 Scout Team

Cayden Suchy is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Sterling, VA who attends Dominion. Recorded a 7.67 second sixty-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher moves from the stretch only with a low handset, a belt high leg lift, and is well-balanced over the backside as he rides it down the mound with good extension and release on his fastball that has late cutting action topping 81 mph. Suchy has good command of the zone and goes right after the hitters while mixing in a tight breaking ball with good spin and depth out of the same three-quarter arm slot. Also showcasing in the outfield using smooth, clean actions and an aggressive approach on the ball with a good line and drive to the bases while accurately throwing 81 mph. Left-handed hitter steps to the plate with high hands, a high back elbow, and swings with an uphill plane as he wraps the bat around his head throwing the hands at the ball alongside a pull approach. <2021 NATIONAL UNDERCLASS SHOWCASE-MAIN EVENT

Cole Taylor is a 2024 3B/RHP, 1B with a 5-11 225 lb. frame from Berkley, MA who attends Somerset HS. Recorded an 8.02 second 60-yard dash time. Physical and mature frame with lots of well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary third baseman with a short arm action and big arm strength up to 92 mph across. Deliberate actions to either side but arm is a weapon. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a semi-windup delivery and works down from a tall balance point. Moves down the mound well with an efficient lower half and short stride. Has effort at release with a short, quick arm action. Fastball topped out at 89 mph with good arm side run. Curveball has slurve like action with power in the mid-70s. Sharp bite to breaking ball and has out-potential with the pitch. Left-handed hitter with a balanced and online stance and big torque through the hips and lower half. Sequences with kinetic motion very well and swings with lots of intent. Hard, carrying contact to the pull side and middle of the field. Could be big time power at maturity. Great student. Named to the 2021 Main Event TP List.>
