Chong's shot looks so good right now. Nurse, OTOH, isn't making a lot of good decisions on offense.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in the UConn locker room at halftime.

Wow. Geno at half when Kerith said Tuck spent a lot of time on the bench: She's gonna spend a lot more time on the bench. Then just walked away.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tuck and Stewart don't play the rest of the game.

Oh boy..... Mount Geno is getting ready to blow. You can tell.

OUCH!!

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a different lineup to start the 2nd half.

After watching this crap, Geno is gonna have to rethink his comment at ECU that the team played the worst half of basketball he had seen in 30 years at UConn. This one takes the cake. NO offensive rebounding, sloppy passing, no energy.

This happens occasionally. Two seasons ago the team was flatter than a pancake during a day game at Rutgers. Geno stuck the bench in and it was Tuck and Jefferson who really stepped up.

That was a dramatic drop-the-mic walk-off from Geno lol.

Silver lining: Stewie and Tuck will be well rested for Monday.

Geno: "They don't know me very well - I'd rather lose than watch them play like that."

Yea, there are usually some games like this each season. Usually it happens when school is out during January and then they pick up after school is back in session. Kinda different this year.

Did anyone else hear someone yell from the bench (CD or Shea?): "Come on, Stewie! Run!" Just then Stewart broke from a half-assed jog up the court into a sprint. Got yanked right after that.

Stewie and Tuck can't really fix how they played from the bench. And it's not as if anyone other than Chong looked any good out there. I expect they'll win by about 30.

UConn needs to get used to this. On the road, you need to play with much higher energy and concentration. You will not get the calls and you must play through contact. No excuses, however. It should not affect your game, but apparently, it has.

Another awful effort during an afternoon game. I wouldn't be shocked to see Tuck and Stewart sit the entire 2nd half. Or get 4 minutes at start to prove they are awake.

Not the reason we stink but man these refs are lousy. Lousy both ways. Flop city out there.

Yeah I heard that. Wasn't sure if that was someone in the crowd.

Yeah I caught that as well.

I heard it.

You see this kind of thing in basketball and even hockey. Teams will have a collective lack of energy issue and it's hard to fix during the game. UConn's talent will allow them to win but that won't make the coach feel any better.

Well, some positives from the first half; our majority-bench lineup held Memphis to 16 points in the half and Chong's shot looks pretty good.

Otherwise, this was a very, very ugly 20 minutes of basketball.

Nurse gets bailed out on that drive. She's not making smart decisions on that end. Playing hard though.

2-2 from the line for Gabby, both looked great. That's 4 straight made for her.
