UConn and ND Pregame Elite Eight Pressers (merged)

Good for Geno to speak up and complain, hopefully his sound logic spreads like a wild fir among the media to force SOMEONE fron the NCAA leadership to answer questions, what I don’t want to hear is Deb Antonelli speak AT ALL. She offers zero logic or evidence. The constant West coast excursions to force the game where fans simply don’t care or even exist is so frustrating. The Northeast is being heavily penalized….

I agree with Geno and would add one more thing.

Re: The game times...

If they are trying to "grow the game" Why the 3:30 start for the final? Is the game not good enough for prime time anymore? What happened to the 8-9 pm Sunday night final.

It wont interfer with the Men since the men always play on Monday night prime time.

Or how about Uconn playing the Sweet sixteen game at 5pm on a Friday (some people work or are coming home from work) and the elite 8 game at 1pm Sunday.

.-.
I'm always delighted when I watch interviews with opposing players and coaches and come away thinking that they are talented, bright, articulate and gracious individuals.
Obviously, being a fan of UCONN, those qualities are on exhibit every day, but it's good to be reminded that there are, indeed, many fine representatives of the best in college basketball within opposing teams.

I dont know what they charge for tickets elsewhere, but when we had the regionals in Bridgeport the tickets were around $38 and it sold out in a couple of hours. That was approximately 9000 fans. Now I know Hartford holds more. The problem was when we beat NC State in a couple of overtimes people complained UConn had an advantage playing in CT. It was never a problem in the old days playing in Tenn or SC. Now were in Texas and Cal and its no problem. So, the loyal fans that patronized WCBB in CT have to travel to the tune of somewhere around $4,000 to go to TX or Cal. Is that fair?????????????????? Thats why there are so many seat unoccupied. If the NCAA wants to build on loyalty, then play where the fans show up. Those loyal fans have earned it and the teams that draw have coaches who have worked hard to build those programs. IMO end the sillyness. Patronize the fans who are will to show up and pay to see their team play and not the teams who dont draw.
