UConn and 2017 AAC Baseball Tournament (Schedule Change)

Bottom three of the UConn batting order produced today. They had 3 hits, 4 walks, 4 runs scored and 2 RBI. Give Winkel the star of the game with 2 hits and a walk, that hasn't happened too much this season. Hopefully this will get Winkel some confidence and get him going.

Game 1 tomorrow can be a winnable game. I do not expect Houston to throw Cumbie due to the fact we have to win twice. If we win game 1 I think we secure a NCAA at-large regardless of a potential ECU championship.

We should be in no matter what. We had a chance to get in even if we went 0-fer

Let's hope every underdog has their dreams crushed this weekend (except Rice, Wayne Graham is the sexiest man alive and no college baseball postseason would be complete without him).

Should be 5 out of 8 years to the NCAA? Seems like Penders gets the Ray Reid treatment from some on this board.

Yes, 5 out of 8 season for the NCAA tourney is correct assuming that they get picked, and at this point I'm expecting UConn to make it.

Another reason to love Penders. Including the 20o9 season, UConn has made the conference tournament Saturday semifinals every year since except one. The one exception was 2014, when the AAC changed the format away from the double elimination format, so that there was basically no conference semifinal (everyone hated the format for that tourney, so it was quickly changed back). So that is 8 years running, not including the oddly formatted 2014 tourney. I find that to be a remarkable record of success.
