Jones clearly did not see it

Jones is a one man show with his radio production. He is also on his own island outside the press box somewhere on the first base side. The TV people have a lot of help, not to mention cameras.

UConn is scoring again in the top of the 9th, with 2 runs, 2 outs, and two runners on. 15-11. While the pitching was awful, at least the team scored some runs today. UConn hitters with 16 hits and 5 walks today so far.

Kyler Fedko drives in two runs with a double. 15-13 the score. Tying run at the plate.

Should be an interesting post game interview

Chris Jones was speculating about it being basically an injury update, and like you said, he wasn't aware of the Justin Willis injury that you mentioned.

Not even gonna try to pull up the stats tonight...

The guys should be proud that they didn't let the first half of this game get them down. They showed a lot of fortitude today.

Lot's of stuff in this one. Injury update. Reggie Crawford currently has only one pair of contact lenses, he needs more. He lost one of them. He might not play tomorrow as he is having trouble seeing the ball. Austin Peterson has a cartilage problem in his rib cage, he had it one time at Purdue. Penders thinks he might be okay to pitch next week, but will have to see about it. Simmons has a bad bone bruise in his ribs, at least it isn't a break. Justin Willis, something in his left shoulder got displaced covering home plate on the passed ball.

Horrific on the mound, Penders thinks they may have set a UConn hit by pitch record. Peterson was pitching while hurt. Wang had one good inning, then just disappeared. The one pitcher who got praise is freshman Brendan O'Donnell, who did not look afraid today. Penders was happy with the way he competed. Penders thinks he is going to have a bright future with the Huskies.

If you wear contacts and play sports wouldn't make sense to have a minimum of 2 set back-up?
Seems very strange - no eye glasses?
Has no one thought of this?

Very weird, as someone who wears contacts this seems like a no brainer. Also, why couldn’t he go to a TX eye doctor today and get another box? Or a set of trials to get him through the day?

I would imagine C-Wink is @ First..

I would imagine your are right about Chris Winkel.

Looks Chris Brown might be gaining the upper hand at the 3B spot over David Langer. We'll see how that goes. That's fine with me, as Brown has youth on his side (sort of a silly thing to say about college players who are only a few years apart in age).

Not really surprised at Kenny Haus starting. I would expect it to be a bullpen day featuring the guys from the back end of the bullpen. I would expect Randy Polonia, Andrew Marrero, and Caleb Wurster to follow in some sort of order. Not sure who else would be available other than perhaps Kenny Campbell.

Two center fielders and no first baseman. Interesting strategy Cotton!!!

Bottom 1st, an infield single and a hit by pitch (surprise!) put two Red Raiders on base. Haus strands the runners for a scoreless inning. First time in 9 innings that UConn pitchers have had a scoreless inning against Texas Tech.
