Not surprised about Flowers. Hey didn’t get any real PT this season. I know Cam is likely done after this season so spots will open, but not getting time this season probably showed him he should move on.

As for these kids entering the portal. I agree with a lot that they are just seeing what’s out there while transition is happening. When a new coach is announced, we may see them back out. We also don’t know how many of these kids were going to enter the portal with or without Mora.

Depends if they already have another team lined up. I know portal does not open to January but if you do not think the best players who enter the portal do not already know where they are going I have a bridge to sell you,

Our chances at a high value bowl game took a hit when Mora left in the middle of the night and allowed the portal doors to fly wide open.

We’re a senior heavy team with a lot of guys trying to make a case for the NFL. I would expect a lot of them to at least wait for the bowl matchup before they decide to stay or go.

Yeah my guess is any good player in the portal already has a new home lined up before opting for the transfer portal.

Agents working the phones would be happening even if VoldeMora stayed.

This is the way it works now. Open free agency. Muraski is borderline NFL talent who will probably be a UDFA, I can’t blame him for looking for a pay day. The other option is that we match his offer. He will definitely start here should he come back.

The people heading to the exits are why I’d like to see the next coach come from a school that has some number of FB talent that will follow him. Is that Cahill, Carty, etc. Chesney would be a great add, but he is probably going P2. Asking a coach to start from scratch with no contacts is a lot to ask in this day and age. He may need 30+ new players, possibly 40.

And alot of places spend it. Looks like 5-6 to the portal who had serious roles next year. (not done yet ?) I did a quick roster check. So far DB and LB are 2 position groups that are decimated with pretty much no experience as things currently stand.
