UConn 2025 Outbound Transfers (Dec. 9th > 28th 2024 & April 16th > 25th 2025 Cycle) *No Speculation*

What is *PWO
preferred walk on

Preferred walk-ons arrive to college with a roster spot guaranteed for them. Walk-ons, however, arrive to college without a guaranteed roster spot. Neither preferred walk-ons nor walk-ons receive a scholarship their first year on campus. They both have the opportunity to compete for them in later years, but preferred walk-ons are often first in line for available scholarships.

I know I was on the Bell was gone train, but today looked sure as heck like he was invested here.....my hope for a return has been restored. I'm hoping it's a situation of both sides coming to an agreement over money.

Bell looked good. He only had one drop that I remember. And I noticed he wore gloves.

Posted this originally in the wrong one thread…oops…but it appears per On3 that bell is going to be signing with Michigan.

And I thought that the portal was closed. I didn't realize that UConn players have additional days to enter or re-enter, in Pryce's case, after a bowl game. Shame on me for praising him in another thread.
I think the issue is that once he withdrew from the portal no other school can contact him (without violating the rules).

His reentry, which logically was because someone saw him in the bowl game and decided he was worth adding to their roster, is the result of a school (or schools) breaking the rules by contacting him and inquiring what it would take.

I don't blame the kid (although I would have preferred it if he did not reach an agreement, then jump at a better offer) but this is now turning bowl games into talent showcases for NIL money.

Yates thanks for the sacks on Saturday but don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
This system needs to change. Only way is to have a collective agreement with the players or perhaps tie NIL to a certain period of time.

Given how unregulated the NIL market is there is a chance that the team that enticed Yates out could change their minds.

Once regulations on NIL are in place, i.e. players are employees, it will do away with all this nonsense and create a different set of nonsense for us to wrap our heads around.

Just root like heck for them while they're here, wish them the best when they leave (presuming there is no intent to harm the program on the way out the door, and there hasn't been with any of them). Mora will do what he can to continue to make chicken salad out of the chicken ---- situation left by the current regulations/judgments (or lack thereof); I'll be back in my seat come the fall cheering like hell for whoever is there.

Well now we know why Mora was pissed. I don't blame him. Kid performs well in a bowl game and now goes back in the portal. There's really no winning when you're at our level right now. This is such a deflator.

Also, this one blatantly shows the greed of NIL. The kid put himself in the portal, didn't like what he saw so he came back Cool, I get it. Mora welcomed him back, kid played his heart out, then was clearly contacted with a good monetary offer and is bolting. This one just doesn't sit right. I'm usually understanding about kids leaving but this one just rubs me the wrong way. Don't let the door hit ya....
