That’s true at every college - and yet regionals are still almost universally played on campus
Fully correct. But the biggest argument here when we repeat the arguments about playing football and hoops off campus is that it's depriving the students of part of their experience. Which argument, whether or not you think it is outweighed by financial considerations, is 100% true. The argument doesn't exist here as the students are home anyway.

That's all I said. I'm not even arguing for Hartford. I don't pretend to know enough about the economics of college baseball to have an opinion.

Xavier gets the W and will wait for the loser of tomorrow's noon start between UConn and Creighton

Kind of feel a bit sorry for SH, getting blown out by UConn the last four games and then a quick cup of coffee in the BE tournament. AAAAnyway you had a vg competitive team
Yeah honestly, with their pendulum-swinging game against Creighton - and that in last night's game a few more hits + and umps calls in their favor and it could've gone differently. Must be a painful ending for them.

Really big game today, aside from the fact that UConn is playing Creighton. The team that loses the noon game will have to win 3 straight after that to win the Big East championship. UConn's pitching is good, but not especially deep enough to have to play two doubleheaders in two days. Also, if this were the case, would Pat Winkel be the catcher in all these games? I suspect not, but you never know. Rain has had a huge impact on this tournament, but that is not exactly a first in terms of the conference tournaments UConn has been involved in over the last decade or so.

I suspect that any post season tournament that UConn baseball puts a bid in for will be for the ballfields in Storrs. Among other things, having artificial turf would make dealing with the weather a bit easier than playing on grass.

Love seeing the scouts with their speed guns up taking notes after every pitch.

UConn considered the home team. Top 1st, Casparius faces the minimum with the help of a caught stealing throw out by Pat Winkel after a 2 out walk.
