My feed went out just as the 2nd quarter started - did Evers get pulled or did he get hurt?
got hurt running the ball. It was not a concussion which is good. I hate that he got hurt and I hope he recovers quickly. But the offense looked a lot better with Fagnano. His field vision, ability to read the defense, make quick decisions, make anticipation throws, and accurately throw the ball are much greater than what Evers can do.

And at least 3 dropped that hit receivers in the hands or chest.

Great comeback win on the road. Fagnano can make throws down the field. Covers the TD spread. Show the team some respect - they deserve some Top 25 votes with their record!!

More seems awful set on Evers. But if he has eyes they should be telling him something.
I wonder if it has to do with the NIL contract or some obligation Mora feels to Evers, maybe a promise during the recruiting. I am speculating and maybe even being a defense lawyer for Mora.

Is Fagnano Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady?
No.

Is Fagnano a high level FBS QB?
LOL, no

Is Fagnano much better for this UConn Football team than Evers?
Hell yes!

Fantastic 4th quarter. Outscored them 21-0 to come back from a 23-10 deficit in 9 minutes. UConn hasn't had 7+ wins since 2010, and we still have 3 games to go!

Some questions were answered tonight
Just two games to Go -- Cuse on the 23rd and then UMass.

Atrocious first half, great response in the second.

Not sure what's going on with Bell, that's two games back to back with horrible drops. Needs to rein those in if he wants to play on Sundays
He might want to consider wearing gloves especially in rainy conditions. He was wiping his hands on a lineman's towel after the drop that hit him in the numbers.

But he did make that nice catch on the ball behind him by Joe to extend the drive.

Had to listen to game on radio. What a great win!

Also Mike Crespino is terrible, maybe even worse than Joe D.

JF went 5/12, 2 tds, 0 picks. And it was glorious because he made UAB play defense. NE 104 yds on 15 completions; JF 70 yds on 5 completions.

And lots of Lester Hayes stickum.

Once again, it was a very sloppy game with numerous unforced errors in the last minutes. And once again we won.

A comeback of the type we haven't seen in a while.

Great win today. Defense had a lot of big plays and a nice scoot by Edwards to get a big TD. Fagnano had 3 TD passes actually and a drop by Bell might have gone for a TD. But the D keeps us in games and is really fun to watch.

Evers hit some short passes but as usual his playbook is very limited because he only sees 1 receiver, sometimes 2 so they roll him out a lot. Anything past 10 yards is consistently late or thrown behind guys. When in the pocket he has a tendency to abandon good protection and run himself into sacks. His deep balls are mostly 50/50 floaters. But we can keep having the conversation about how coaches know best or the only choice is between winning ugly and losing. It's beating a dead horse at this point but I'm here for it. Fagnano is the better option and it's not close.

That's a good point as I saw that, too. For the next game against Syracuse he won't have to worry about that with the game indoors in the Carrier Dome or whatever the hell they call that place now.

Yeah, I am not gonna pile on NE. But for the simple reason that stretching the field vertically vs. Syracuse will be important, JF has got to start that game. And Cole better be ready in case there is an injury to Joe. That Syracuse game is gonna mean an awful lot now.

Here's to a quick recovery for Nick.
