The U16 begins today. The American team's entire 12-player roster consists of UConn players of interest.

Today's game against Mexico has been moved from 3:30 PM Eastern to 6 PM Eastern. Games will be streamed live.

Here is the US roster and their corresponding uniform numbers:

Saylor Poffenbarger - 4
Olivia Miles - 5
Londynn Jones - 6
Kiki Rice - 7
KK Bransford - 8
Amari DeBerry - 9
Payton Verhulst - 10
Janiah Barker -11
Timea Gardiner - 12
Aaliyah Moore - 13
Sonia Citron - 14
Lauren Betts - 15

I'm a dope and need to be led by the hand. Please give me the streaming site.

Will also be streamed on the USA Basketball twitter account.

Stream's not available yet. It'll get posted prior to the game, don't worry.

It's good to have these things revealed at the last second after waiting hours to watch the game.

These days competence has become a commodity.

Verhulst = really freaking good. Had 8 of the first 12. She and Miles have a really good connection. Miles is a true pass first PG.

This game is not exactly a good barometer of what the US girls can do.

That said, my impressions of Gardiner and Jones are unchanged: I'm a fan of both. Kiki Rice has been everywhere with her effort, quickness, and athleticism. Verhulst has the look of a very good player as does Citron. KK Bransford is intriguing as well.

Lauren Betts has missed a couple of bunnies today but then knocks down an 8-foot jumper.

Olivia Miles reminds me of Crystal Dangerfield with her highlight-reel passing skills.

Londynn Jones is really impressive.

Sonia Citron has really impressed with her skill, activity level, and nose for the basketball. Been one of the best players.

Verhulst can really shoot.

Rice is a high octane player with a toolbox full of skills.

Is it too early to start fitting Jones and Gardiner for UConn jerseys?

Londynn Jones went 5/8 from three and scored 21 points. She's super quick, has an excellent handle, enjoys defending, and obviously can shoot.

I'll add -- any comparisons of DeBerry and Stewie, end them, NOW.

DeBerry had a couple of impressive blocks for which she was not credited (don't trust these int boxscores), but looked pretty raw otherwise. I think she's got talent but really needs coaching.

Betts is scratching the surface of her ability, but she's going to make an impact anyway due to sheer size.

Janiah Barker's a terrific athlete with a great build. One to watch for sure.

Londynn Jones outscored the opposition herself.

The game against Chile should be able to be seen here at 8:15pm ET tomorrow:

The game vs El Salvador produced some interesting stats. Here's one that caught my eye.
A player on the losing team had a + - score of -85 !!

I'm still having a problem figuring out why there was such a rebounding discrepancy yesterday....

Some halftime stats
--
Sonia Citron - 11 points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3FG, 4-4 FT)
Lauren Betts - 10 points, 9 rebounds
Payton Verhulst - 12 points

Verhulst has a knack of getting out front of the defenders on the break, aka the Kia Nurse move. She's piling the points on now.

Another strong game from Citron as well who has completely outshone Poffenbarger in the battle of UConn wing prospects.

Miles has little interest in shooting the ball but can really control a game with her passing.

Betts is putting up numbers, mostly due to height although she's gotten a few nice blocks.

DeBerry's shot selection is, shall we say, questionable.

What are your thoughts on Payton Verhulst as a UCONN wing prospect? She is listed at 6'1" and may not be done growing and is out playing both Citron and Poffenbarger IMO.

Citron looks well ahead of Poffenbarger. Very impressed with her game and overall style of play through the first two games.

Miles was a little out of control today, but still very impressive. She had 5 turnovers today. I wish she found a middle ground between passing and scoring -- something Bueckers is tremendous with. I think of Miles more of a want than a need with Bueckers and Muhl.

I'm so underwhelmed with DeBerry. 1-6 and 4 turnovers. As a 2021, I expected much more from her. Timea Gardiner also shot 1-6, but I still like her game and motor a lot.

A few more thoughts:

Londynn Jones struggled with her shot early but didn't let it bother her; hit 3 of her last 4 from three.

Gardiner and Betts have missed too many bunnies so far. Gardiner didn't have a particularly good game.

Kiki Rice is a great athlete with a terrific motor who does a lot of Gabby Williams things. She appears to have one glaring weakness and that's her outside shot. Very uncomfortable looking form that resulted in an airball and another shot that barely hit the rim.

Janiah Barker has a great upside and probably will be top-5 in the class.

I like Verhulst, definitely. I'm not sure I agree she's outplayed Citron though. Verhulst is probably a guard at the next level I'm guessing which is why I don't know where she'd play. Where is the room if UConn brings in a certain girl with a cartoon character's name?
