I must have watched a different game. I thought we were seriously outplayed after the first 20 minutes and were very lucky to get to PKs. Yes, the game might have been differen if 3 of our 4 forwards weren't out for the game, but everyone has the same size roster.

Well, Tommy Thompson had a golden opportunity to end the game. Not nearly as bad as the Wondo miss, but yet again we're foiled by a San Jose Earthquakes player.

Still haven't watched 2nd half or ET/PK's. From the first half, when the US looked the better side (first 20+/- minutes) controlling possession, they just didnt look dangerous in the final third. Zelalem (as Zoo pointed out) was too unselfish, it was as if the US attackers didn't have or couldn't execute "a plan" when attacking. When Serbia started to gain the advantage/control for the balnce of the first half, they seemed to have more purpose/plan when attacking. Credit the US back line as they made it very difficult for the Serbs to get any great opportunities, but they definitely seemed more comfortable atacking than the US. IMO, overall it was a good Cup for the US U20's. Got out of group play, won a knockout match over a good Colombia side, went out on PK's just missing a spot in the semi's, and doing so missing some starters up front.
