Tulane Game Thread

True, but TT raises negativity to an art form. A real pain in the ass!
Unlike other games where I could ding him for not talking about the good rather than focusing on the bad, this game he was right and rather restrained about it, too.

Never in doubt

Baskets in the Paint Final
UConn 10 (4-1-1-4)
Tulane 8 (1-2-1-4)

I'm sitting at BWI waiting for a now long delayed flight home. Had figured to see this on ESPN3 but game was blocked here.

Appreciate all the posts to keep me up to date on the score.

One major vulnerability is if you are physical and trap the Huskies inside the 3-pt line they don't handle it well at all. We saw it in LSU quite a bit as well. KLS really struggles with pressure in her chest, but there's a lack of composure under duress with the whole team.

Fewest amount of points in conference play: 63 vs. USF 2/16/14 AND tonight vs. Tulane.

The positive is that it wasn't a loss even though they played badly and this should wake them up and refocus them.

Wire to wire baby. Never a bead of sweat, right?

In the post game interview, Geno was pretty relaxed, even laughing. I bet he's happy to have a win that will help him get the team more focused. The offense has been drifting of late and this will show the young guys that wins aren't automatic.

And no more injuries. I'm gonna keep pressing my call Nurse button.

Collier is like from another planet!

Did he actually say: "Gotta luv those refs!" ;)

they played a terrible game, but Tulane was relentless and the loss of Pheesa for a good portion of the 2nd half was telling. she is the glue that holds them together.

Meg with some good post game analysis. This game was a wake up call. Was this enough to teach them a lesson? We won't know.

Even if he was, don't reinforce it! - LOL

Nothing wrong with a close game once in a great while. None of us thought this team was invincible at the start of the season. I'l take the win and look forward to the next one.

Was that aberrant enough for you? It was for me. Kia sorely missed. Decent refs sorely missed. The team never got into a flow tonight. Kudos to the Tulane kids.

Can we just take a second to imagine what would've happened in this game if Queen Napheesa was having a bad game like everyone else?
7 of 9 on field goals, 11 of 12 on free throws. Oh and 12 rebounds as well.
She was the calm amid the New Orleans hurricane.
