Get well, Morgan. You are an important part of the team.

"Shin and elbow problems?"

That does not sound good. The elbow problem may be a bruise from banging into other players or the floor.

"Shin problems" scares the hell out of me. If it's "shin splints" it's bad. If it's "stress fractures" that is very serious and awful and horrible and scary for Kaleena and the team.

We need some really powerful prayers, Padre!!!!!

Sounds like a young high school game body trying to develop into a more physical college game body..... Aches , pains , and bruises come with the territory. Once her body gets more use to the more physical college game she will be fine....... She will get there.

Swin Cash had stress reactions in both shins as a freshman about this time of year. She was OK after some rest. I don't recall her being out a long time, but it's been a while since she was a freshman.

That year was ridiculous for injuries. Remember Tihana Abrlic and Marcie Glenney playing point guard while Sue Bird watched from the bench? Youch.

I think Tuck needs to take a lesson from KML's playbook unless you are injured drop an ibuprofen and play tough. You bruise your knee every time you fall on it, so don't let opponents push you down.

She is not injured according to everything I read she has a bone bruise. You get a bone bruise every time you fall on your knee. She needs to grow up and play hurt and tough.

I'd rather not have our all american freshman, who had an ACL injury in the past, try to tough anything out. She is going to be an enormous part of how well UCONN does in the next 3 years, let's make sure she makes it there.

CD has had numerous ACL's and it would take another to keep her out of a game. I don't buy coddling her she knew when she came to UConn it was the big leagues.

Sal, I'm sorely tempted to break some BY rules here, but I'll abstain. I will say, the team has a medical staff, and, a good one. They're on top of it, in person, daily. I'd bet my mortgage they've got a better handle on it than you do.

And, in case you feel like getting macho on me too, I'm an ex-defensive lineman. I know something about playing hurt, playing in pain, etc.. I'll defer to the team leadership on this one.

I respect your opinion but CD is taking a victory lap around Storrs and has no chance of playing basketball after college. I love her but it's the truth. Morgan's potential is through the roof and she is 4 grades younger than CD. There's just no need push her when these upcoming games are against weaker competition.

I too played Football and Wrestled also played games with a mouth full of broken teeth as middle guard on D and RT on O so you are preaching to the choir on that score. The point I was trying to make is if she is injured then it is not a BONE BRUISE
since that medically doesn't constitute an damaging type of injury and I'll I'll bet my MD degree on that since that is the basis of my knowledge!!!

In the same blog as the one that spoke about Tuck they spoke about KML who has just as great an opportunity to be great yet
she says of herself what I said, injured is different than hurt. In regard to the upcoming games how can she ever hope to play in sync with the rest of the team if every time she gets dinked she doesn't play. with Duke our only other big challenge this year before Baylor and BG coming she needs to play if only to knock the rust off.

No such thing as an ex-DL...you're only deactivated. Now drop and give me 20! :)

I'm a deactivated 'Monster Back' and no one here under the age of 30 has ever even heard of the position!

This is truly lousy news. Did Maya and Tiff take the last damn pairs of knee pads when they left???

I watched Morgan play all through high school. I saw her come back from a ACL in roughly 5 months and go on to win a state championship. She is plenty tough. A bone bruise takes a long time to heal. I'm sure she has had a medical opinion as well as her trainers recomendations. Get well Morgan !

Everyone wants to see all the members of the team healthy but a bruise is not an ACL. KML is playing hurt Caroline is playing hurt Hartley is playing hurt Stokes is playing hurt. Of course the trainers and medical staff have seen her but you can't x-ray a bruise or get an MRI of a bruise all you can do is see a Black and blue or listen to the player who says it hurts.
No one wants her in action more than me, but enough now with the bruised knee!!!!!
