LOL, no. I got to hand it to you though, your commitment to this folly for a decade plus is admirable.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who read the thread that way. Kudos to you and @HooperScooper

Nice to see Trillium barreling now. I drink a lot of Goose, Bruery, Prairie and Founders.

Now? They’ve been doing it since shortly after they opened the Congress Street location. Which was 10 years ago.
You sure about that? I haven't been since I moved out of Boston 4 years ago, but back then it was mostly PM Dawns and Permutations for their stouts. Maybe their barrel program was just getting started. I never loved going because their offerings were mostly IPA's, which I don't do.

Untappd doesn't list much of anything before '16. and nothing barreled. Their first awesome stout was Affogato and that was barrel released in '21.

And not too long ago we all lamented about us not being able to have nice things, even if at times said sarcastically.

Being on top of the mountain is so much better.

Aaaahh, back where we belong.

Lol they were a brand new brewery on Congress with a “tasting room” capacity of about 6 in 2013. Is that what you’re implying? That they’ve been barrel aging stuff since their inception?

I too prefer the mountaintop to the dumpster fire.

If I remember correctly, bought my first bottle of BA Outside the Lines in late 2016, and I think that was the first from their barrel program. I’m going to DM J.C. on Instagram. He is usually pretty responsive.

I checked Untappd and the earliest barrel aged stout I’ve had from them was 2016. Close enough. :)

Yeah I believe that’s around when the big, current location just off Seaport Blvd opened

BA Affogato was first released in early 2018. I had it in February 2018. There’s another one on Untappd that says 2021. Search for Barrel Aged Affogato and both should come up.

Now about that Nowell kid. Is he committing to UConn or not? :)

Never saw barreled offerings the dozen times I frequented them in the early days of Seaport and The Rosa pkwy beer `garden. 5 or 6 years ago.

Regardless, glad to see they've been ramping up barreling. NE needs more stouts.

I also saw there is a place called Barreled Souls in ME that has been collaborating with the Bruery.

Alright, back to basketball, lol.

I think I still have some BA Waketobin and wild trillium from 2014.

BA Wakerobin was a few weeks earlier, but the Wild trillium was their 1st anniversary beer.
