They got a lot more to learn about life besides having big muscles and being athletic. Doesn't make them men that are mentally prepared for real world situations. Those kids live on a double edged sword.
We're talking about getting cut from a football team here right? I started playing sports for teams that had cuts when I was 8 years old. These guys - men, young men, whatever - are old enough to handle the coach telling them they should try to play somewhere else next year.

Got to say expected more transfers outbound today..
If a kid has decided to transfer, he may be better off by waiting for the semester to be completed if they want to continue to access the weight room, locker room, etc. And, there could be some financial ramifications if you give up your scholarship before the end of the semester. At most schools, the kid in the transfer portal would still have access to tutoring and health services for the rest of the semester.

And if your current team is going bowling, you might want to hold off until that game gets played.

No he didn't. He got hurt before the season started.

This is the first loss under the new staff that hurts. There will be more. And that's not a knock on the new staff -- just the way college football works.
yup. mora can only do so much. there will def be more. would be pleasantly surprised if the current wr room remained intact,

Hairston was honored on senior day so we already knew he was moving on. If you are a 4th year player on a college roster (in Hairston's case a 5th year player) and you are not starting or playing major minutes, you usually are not invited back for a 5th year (or 6th year.)
