I don't recall either. I think Walker is a little bigger than Carrington isn't she?
 
DJC would be a nice addition even if she doesn't fill our biggest need positionally. She's athletic and experienced.
 
UConn lost its leading scorer and best three-point shooter a year earlier than expected. Westbrook is coming off surgery. It's not clear why anyone would be surprised that Geno is looking at bringing in an experienced and proven scorer to replace what he got from Megan. Carrington has not shown she can shoot the 3 as well as Meg but she can score and is a good rebounder from the G/W spot. Not sure she'll pick UConn but Geno's interest is not surprising.

Is Geno actually interested or is this just speculation?
 
Carrington had a really nice game when an overmatched Stanford team played UConn 3 years ago. Her stat line: 8/15 (3/8 from 3), 7 rbs, 21 pts. At 5’11 she has good size for a guard, and has the strength, not unlike Christyn, to take her game into the paint.

Carrington turned out to be the odd-player out when Stanford could bring back only one RS Grad student, which turned out to be Anna Wilson. If Carrington is healthy, she would be a very nice player with experience to add to the roster.

But wait - there's more. This is the kid who had these comments in the article by ESPN when she verbaled to Texas back in November 2016. I'm ALL for confidence and moxie, but for her to be "very offended" that she wasn't rated #1 by HG indicated, to me at least, that she was a kid who needed an attitude adjustment.

Boothe, a 6-foot-1 forward at IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida), averaged 22.7 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for a 16-12 team last season as a junior.

But she's capable of much more. Just ask her.

By my reckoning this leaves Carrington and Mikesell as the only two big-time (all-conference level) transfers left on the board, for now.

In addition, unlike Carrington, Mikesell would not be eligible to play until the 21-22 season, when UConn will presumably have Christyn, Evina?, Anna, Aubrey, Paige, Nika, Saylor, Caroline & possibly Azzi.

I find it curious that Maryland still seems to be a top destination for highly rated kids while other top rated kids leave in droves (compared to other elite programs). Besides Tennessee, is there another upper tier school that has as many high profile transfers?

We've heard rumblings of things, I'm sure we can all speculate, but has there been a transfer from Maryland who's spoken on the record as to what is going on there? Or is it just all coincidence?
