I agree regarding baseline talent evaluation. I watched a ton of Isaiah Abraham and Jaden Ross high school games. Abraham was a better shooter and has a stronger body, although they're pretty much the same height. It seems to me like certain guys were not encouraged or backed to squeeze out every ounce of their potential and aggressively take their share of the light as much as others were.I don’t see it not much there from what I saw but will be happy to be wrong. Rather keep Abraham and take his jump from year 1 to 2 but we will see. Not sure he even stays.
Tarris Reed, clearly a better player than Samson Johnson, but was relegated to a bench role all year and his deficiencies were constantly highlighted while Samson's deficiencies were rarely ever called into question. It was the same for Jaden Ross vs Jaylin Stewart and, to a similar degree, Liam McNeeley vs Jaylin Stewart.
