Is it? Stewart may fill the 2nd jumbo wing role. And a back 6’4-6’5 guard who can handle some ball handling duties ala nahiem alleyne.Isn’t Bowen the jumbo wing at 6’10 190? I think he’s the perfect fit since he can start at either forward spot depending on whether AK comes back.
Otherwise that’s quite a wishlist. I’d be ecstatic with Bowen and Dent and an average sized backup PG.
Oh I didn’t think Stew counted, but in that case sure.Is it? Stewart may fill the 2nd jumbo wing role. And a back 6’4-6’5 guard who can handle some ball handling duties ala nahiem alleyne.
I think you’re all underestimating what we’ll need.
His numbers are kinda awful. This is weird.

He may be a depth piece. Rotation pieceOne of the write ups said inconsistent effort on D re Young, can’t imagine interest is real Unless we’re missing something.
Fair. I can’t speak on the first part. But I’d prefer a pg off the bench as well. But I’d take a combo over nothingOh I didn’t think Stew counted, but in that case sure.
But I’m leaning more towards a backup PG than a backup CG. In this hypothetical Dent would be the only true PG on the team since Adams is already a CG.
She is as legit as they come especially so as Black female billionaire. Former UConn track athlete here. She’s a former sprinter from the Women’s team. She was reached out to when the Track and Field programs were in danger of falling victim to the athletics budget cuts and is a huge reason as to why our programs were able to weather the storm. The reason she seemed to come out of nowhere was due to how underdeveloped the Athletic Alumni fundraising programs were for a non-revenue creating sports. But have met her personally and can confirm as someone very involved with her reintroduction into the fold that her contributions and profile as a Black businesswoman are more than credible.UConn announced she gave the largest athletic donation in school history back in '22.
I never heard of her before then and all the press for her seemed to really kick off when she made that donation and honestly my bs meter went off. You can count the # of black female billionaires on one hand and they're extremely well known so I've always been skeptical about this billionaire claim but her donation must've went through so she must have serious money.

I know her personally, we arrived to UConn the same year in 1995. She ran track & I played football. She absolutely is the wealthiest black woman from Jamaica & she’s very wealthy. I don’t know her net worth but I’m sure she’s close to billionaire status. She’s the largest donor to athletics in UConn history. She’s good for the money she’s pledge to donate!UConn announced she gave the largest athletic donation in school history back in '22.

Sounds like something we need.Dent is our guy. I can feel it in my bones

Here's why Donovan Dent is a name to know
Mountain West Player of the Year Donovan Dent is putting his name into the transfer marketplace. He's a 6-foot-2 point guard with an elite feel for the game and an incredible burst and speed with the ball in his hands. He gets anywhere he wants on the court, collapses defenses and creates for himself and others.
Dent is the second five-star guard to enter the portal on Tuesday, slotting in behind Bennett Stirtz.
Dent is leaving the option open to return to New Mexico, but Richard Pitino is going to have to hold nearly every blue blood in the country to get him back.
Our pitch should be amazing. He’d step right into being the pg on a top 10 team potentially. And he’d get the reigns of the offense. Hurley can point to Newton, cam and rese as guys he got to the league out of the portalDent will have offers out the wazoo. I'm sure we'll reach out and make a pitch
He can choose where he wants to go - any program in the country would take him and start him. Every single one. Maybe we get lucky, but I don’t like our chances given where he’s coming from.Dent will have offers out the wazoo. I'm sure we'll reach out and make a pitch
I wonder how many mid major portal kids reach or surpass their numbers when joining a p5 from their previous school. Such a different animal. He can choose where he wants to go - any program in the country would take him and start him. Every single one. Would be awesome to get him in for a visit . He's a baller.Dent will have offers out the wazoo. I'm sure we'll reach out and make a pitch
There are plenty of cases of that working really well. For a prime example, look no further than the last top transfer out of UNM - JT Toppin. The kid averaged 12 as a freshman at UNM and averaged 18 this year with TT as a sophomore. He was an A+ transfer get as a high producing sophomore transfer.I wonder how many mid major portal kids reach or surpass their numbers when joining a p5 from their previous school. Such a different animal.
Good thing he was in two spots getting 30 mpg overallStew isn’t coming back for 10 nor should he.
Probably the first Nova game where he locked down the nation's leading scorer.Every time I see someone say Stew got better defensively, I wonder what team they were watching.
Big name. Probably looking for big bucks. Pure point guard. Don't remember him being a particularly good shooter. Can he play D?
Who would touch this guy
One downside is he is short. People on here were clamoring for taller guards all year since Diarra, Ball, and Mahaney struggled to find lobs at the rim and rollers. Our pitch should be amazing. He’d step right into being the pg on a top 10 team potentially. And he’d get the reigns of the offense. Hurley can point to Newton, cam and rese as guys he got to the league out of the portal
Yes but he still averaged 7 assist a game. I don’t mind short if you’re a threat to put 2 feet in the paint consistently. A guy like Dent would be the exception. The problem with Hassan and Aiden is they couldn’t attack to score or dish at a high level. Especially once Hassan was down to one kneeOne downside is he is short. Which is honestly silly to equate that to height. One downside is he is short. People on here were clamoring for taller guards all year since Diarra, Ball, and Mahaney struggled to find lobs at the rim and rollers.

Diarra had no problems with the lob. Ball and Mahanney just werent good at it not because they were too shortOne downside is he is short. People on here were clamoring for taller guards all year since Diarra, Ball, and Mahaney struggled to find lobs at the rim and rollers.
