I thought Duke was supposed to beat Oregon by a lot more. Who do I talk to about that?

There are occasional exceptions (2025 UConn), but 8/9 matters more than 2/3 seeds to a #1. Indiana-Utah was a much tougher pair than Richmond-Ga Tech. They need to put basketball people on the committee, not commissioners.

.-.
I think this burst will be enough for Kentucky.

Edit: spoke too soon. Kansas state just took the lead on a poindexter 3.

Kentucky-Kansas St. has been an outstanding game. Back and forth all game long.

At some point doubling Lee should've become less of a priority than making sure a defender stayed home on Poindexter. It shouldn't have taken 8 made 3's to figure that out.

Congrats to K State.

Heartbreaker for Kentucky. They had so many chances on that possession and couldn't get it done.

.-.
Best game of the tourney. Tough loss for KY. That was wild. Poindexter hit 8 threes. I couldn't believe she kept getting open. I thought maybe they would guards her closer in the OT.

Kentucky had every chance to win that game. Kansas state’s only goal on that last possession was to not foul. They even forgot to attempt to rebound.

Nevertheless, they also hit a lot of huge shots to get the game to that point. It was a great win. And finally, a home team lost a game in this tournament.

.-.
Amoore and Va Tech should have won that final four game against LSU. They were in control. That’s probably the main thing I will remember about her march madness career.

Didn't get a chance to watch but I knew it would be a great matchup. Sundell with 19 and 14 on the road to get Kansas State to the sweet 16 for the first time in 20 plus years. Ayoka Lee through her various injuries getting a chance to play in the second week of the tournament. Sounds like Poindexter did her thing too, I love these type of transfer stories (and the 5th year but we won't get into that).
On the flip side, nothing to be ashamed of if ur Kenny Brooks and company. Great season. Amoore took a gamble coming back and switching conferences, but I think she will go first round. All their transfers really had great seasons. Tamari Key probably doesn't get talked about enough, get resurgence this year was great to watch. Clara Strack was great. If they have a point guard coming in or find one in the portal I think they'll be really good next year. They have Parouva coming back from injury, and a lot of rotation players coming back.

They have a great guard recruit, Maddyn Greenway from Minnesota, coming in next year. Was highly sought after. She's the daughter of former NFL linebacker Chad Greenway. Very tough and very talented.

I agree however, you're talking about Teonni. You have her mixed up with her sister.

Losing a season due to an ACL injury put her down the depth chart at UNC. Seeing her performance this season shows how much potential she had coming in as a freshman.

Misspelled "Kenny Brooks". He's the reason why they collapse, predictably, in fourth quarters.

8 years ago, a #10 seeded Oregon team came to Durham and defeated a #7 seeded team led by a former UCONN assistant in the first round. In the second round they preceded to stun a #2 Duke team missing a key player. If you thought history was gonna repeat itself this today.... these young ladies had something to say about that.... :)

Coach Yo: second Sweet 16 berth as a lower seed in three seasons

Meanwhile, Kenny Brooks: second straight defeat in Round of 32 at home (as a 4 seed) to a Big 12 team (2024: Baylor (while at VT), 2025: Kansas State).

Not exactly big upsets by seed, but both #5 seeds have beaten #4 seeds today.

Well that's interesting. I'm sure I'd heard that Van Lith got her degree in 3 years at Louisville. Earned a Master's last year at LSU. Getting a second Master's this year at TCU. That's taking advantage of the opportunity.
