Gonzaga has a very efficient halfcourt offense. They don't play great defense, but they don't have to when it feels like they score every possession.

KU defense has been awful. Really miss McCullar on that end of the floor even more than the offensive side.

They are both terrible defensive teams
Gonzaga is quicker on the perimeter defensively though. But they have nothing against HD. Outmatched down there (not that Dickinson is a good defender)

These teams look pretty squarely matched
They are with KUs best player out, yes. That said, Jayhawks aren’t deep, played a late game Thursday and these games are at high altitude. Wouldn’t surprise me if they fade down the stretch. Self has done a better job of playing the bench today, he knows it’s a problem.

Agree. he's the type of player that greatly tilts the scales.

Terrible defense all around. It's too bad Dickinson plays no defense because he's ultra skilled offensively.
Yeah, I didn't know he was THIS lackluster. I'm surprised
He’s worse against bigs that can shoot. He’s not terrible if he can sit in the paint, but super slow recovering from outside. Offensively he’s the best big in the country.

Gonzaga is just playing Gonzaga's game, particularly on offense. Kansas, on the other hand, is not a great team offensively with McCullar, and may have trouble maintaining this offensive pace.

Kansas depth problems are starting to show here. Kansas starters milking minutes to stay on floor. I guess they have no choice.
They are the UConn women of the Men's tourney

Shooting issues aren’t helping. Missing layups. Just awful.

Kansas may have a run in them, but this Gonzaga run feels fatal.

It is not a run. Gonzaga just keeps scoring.

To beat Gonzaga, you have to be efficient offensively, which means not taking crazy shots, because if a team is patient offensively, they will get some good looks against the Zags. But wasting possessions against Gonzaga is deadly, because they are so methodically efficient when they have the ball.

Better defensive lineup in now. Still need to score.
