I guess it depends on what a list of “most intriguing” players really means. But I’d have placed Fournier a lot lower in this very truncated list. Syla Swords definitely belongs on this list, to name just one glaring omission. Or Joyce Edwards? And Kate Koval. Kiyomi McMiller?

goofy article, says Sarah is first in every advanced metric (whatever that means) for freshman except she is second in VPS, whatever that means. then it says Mikayla Blakes from Vanderbilt is first averaging over 20 points and a freshman at Rutgers averages 19. So I guess scoring is not an advanced metric. Should tell that to all the writers who vote for All Americans by picking the players with the highest scoring average.

With Watkins out at SC, Edwards has a lot of runway to make an impact in the final 4. Last year both freshmen T Johnson and Fulwiley were huge in championship game. (and are now rewarded on the bench)

Most complete based on position or overall? Swords has been doing a heck of a job but she's a guard. Just curious on the interpretation.

Completely agree with packwrap on Edwards with Watkins out at SC. For them to even get to the Final Four, Edwards is going to have to shoulder a lot. Heck, Ms. Edwards is going to have to shoulder a lot for USC to finish ahead of LSU in the SEC and win the SEC tourney. I have faith in Dawn to see it through.

She may be the best freshman. I ndeed, I would say she IS the best att this point. However she may not be the “only” freshman to me a difference by the post-season..

Joyce Edwards is off the pace a little. But that’s by design. She made the decision to sacrifice when she chose South Carolina. Fulwiley, Tessa, a lot of them chose to sacrifice some individual glory for team achievements.
