meyers7- - - I'm just using extreme caution!
With all the injuries UConn has dealt with for the past 3 years it would be horrible for Paige to push it!
She's already scared to death that her UConn career was over as she grabbed her left/bad knee!
Let her have some more practice days to mentally get over the incident!
As for me, with Geno saying "she [PB] should be back in a week" means participating in practice, then seeing how the knee reacts the next day before getting into game competition. I am optimistically looking at this "time off" for Paige as a positive opportunity for the youngsters to get more game time to gel into their roles, and step up in confidence in executing what each of them do best!
Just like Geno said to Nike as she was joining the W: "They drafted you for a reason! Just do what you do BEST!"
One practice without the knee "blowing up," or greater than normal level of pain will be all that 'Doctor' PB will need after being cleared by the actual Dr.'s to "drop the clipboard' & jump into actual competition - even with limited minutes as a precautionary measure. Paige's mental toughness is off the charts!!!
Go Huskies!!!
