After a very strong defensive performance against USC and an impressive victory, we still have work to do. Here are my top 3 things:

1) Serah to play all game like she played in the first quarter against USC;

2) Sarah and Kayleigh both to be back in stride;

3) Jana to use better judgment on passes and to continue to assert herself offensively.

What are yours?

1. Make all FOUL SHOTS
2. Continue the good defense
3. More consistent 3 point shooting

Good assessment. UConn is playing so well, I don't really have any major requests (i.e. better foul shooting by subs would be good but at least for now, not as critical as some issues). If Serah could play with the energy, power, and quickness that she did early in the USC game, I would be thrilled. With UCLA (Betts) and Iowa State (Crooks) potentially coming up in playoffs, we will need a true center able to bang with the best.

1. Continued progress for SERAH and Jana.
2. Blanca continues to smooth everything out.
Blanca doing Blanca things!
3. Ash doing "ASH THINGS".

STAY HEALTHY!
1. Keep playing the defense as they did vs USC!
2. All 13 healthy bodies to get some more PT!
3. For Caroline to breakout with double digit scoring on at least 2 3's!

( 1 ) Don't change anything. keep playing like you are. ( 2 ) Ashlynn with 5--- 3 pointers. ( 3 ) Caroline with 3 --3 pointers.

1. No player playing more than 23 min.
2. Sarah to have a Strong 😀 game
3. CD to score
It took me a minute to realize who you meant by "CD." I was thinking, "Wow, our expectations have gotten really high. Now we're even asking our associate head coach to score!" 😂

We've been doing so much at such a high level, I feel greedy asking for anything, so I'll just focus on a few fundamentals:

1. High-quality passes into the post.
2. Made foul shots.
3. Made lay-ups/point-blank put-backs.

.-.
Serah, Jana own the glass
High & low post tandem scoring
K9, KK, Ash chaos
Caroline moving without the ball in whatever minutes she gets

In addition to a win and no injuries:
10 minutes for Gandy, 15 each for Ayanna and Caroline and 20 for Kelis.
Sarah back to being Sarah.
Allie having an Azzi-type game.

Building on the USC victory be making these improvements:

1. Shooting better than 58% (19-33) on layups.
2. Shooting better than 67% (10-15) on free throws.
3. Committing fewer than 18 personal fouls.

Just 1 thing, if our starting 5 creates a big lead in the Q1.

I would like to see non starters replace starters 1 or two at a time, in and out so they get minutes when it matters for the entire 40 minutes. As the lead grows in Q3-4 then increase the number of non starters. I would think ending the game with 1-2 starters and the rest being nonstarters would be building experience and game dynamics for everyone.

Starters get comfortable playing with the non starters in a game while it matters.

I know the argument that the starters need minutes together to become as sharp as possible. However, is that really that crucial playing in the BEeat?

“Personally” I think we have to assume that at some point a key player will be out with the flu, some bruises. Strained muscle etc

I think that at some point it will be very beneficial when a none starter starts the game or they need to come in in Q 1-4 for whatever reason they will be a lot more prepared to play with the other 4 on the floor.

I know. Geno & CD have been building big leads and putting a mismatch of non starters together in Q4, nogarbage, mop for 40 years and they’ve built a program that is the standard.

Just a thought that’s rattled around in my brain for several years.

1. Jana to continue to be ferocious on her drives to the hoop and a Sky Hood left and right handed!!!!!
2. Allie to keep her scorer mentality.
3. Blanca to be a total disruptor when she comes in the game.
