I'd take KK as a PG defender over both of them. All around player? Not at all.

1. Geno plays a big lineup for a half. May not be a real need more than two or three times, but they have to be ready.

2. Caroline looks like she's happy as a player-coach but I'd get emotional watching her light it up for a quarter or so.

3. Good shooting from Ash. She's got to break that 'once-in-a-while' model and become a reliable, every day shooter. Her toughness and hustle are star-level; shooting is holding her back.

I think K9 is a very strong defender and that she has a much wider offensive game than KK. K9 has a true pull up jumper and is an opportunistic driver and cutter. Her 3 does need to be consistent but I think that is coming. KK is the best PG defender in the country probably, but K9 is much better than you imply.

I also think Blanca can drive on anyone and as long as she slows her speed to the defender, such as that gorgeous spin move against USF, she should be fine. Before, the spin move was susceptible to a charge because she was so far past the defender that all that had to happen was someone to step in. The restricted zone is gone so she has to be careful.

I watched Carol closely against USF while at the game and she is very much prioritizing her floor game but I totally agree that she can be a real difference if she gets some consistency scoring.

When she is in with the starters, her scoring is not a priority. When not, she is a great floor general. Blanca’s offensive skill set is superior. I look forward to watching her develop even more. I always hope for Caroline to have more time.

Me too about Caroline. I'm hoping it will come soon and I'm looking for a really strong game like 8 and 4 with a couple of assists one of these BE games. I think that will help her confidence. She has had a really tough road.

I don't think she will get more time on the court. She has to work on her defense. She really needs to learn how to defend an over-the-head flip shot in the post. She was recently completely fooled on that shot in a video I saw. Geno was giving her lessons after practice on how to stop it.

As for the question posed by Big Fan: I am afraid that at best we will get a couple of pictures of our
stars coming back to honor Sue....at best. While I am delighted to see the game on FS1 or on any station, I really
do miss SNY. My bet is that SNY would have their usual pregame half-hour....with interviews a'plenty
with the stars and Sue...and probably have a postgame with even more focus on the specialness
of this day.

FS1: do they ever have a pre or post program when they televise a UConn game?

I went online to place a small wager on UCONN for today's game.
I was shocked to learn that the Huskies are favored by 62 points!
With the over/ under total at 142, the projected final score could be 102- 40.
I declined to place a bet. I would be dejected if UCONN wins by 60 points & I lost my wager!
