Looking back at my top 3 things for the USF game, I was even more happy with how we played and what we did as well as with the result. North Carolina is currently ranked #14 as of today and has a lot of height. So here are my top 3 things for an even bigger test on the road:

1) Ice and Jana to have smart games without foul trouble.

2) Paige to take control again early.

3) A little bit of Azzi, if she is ready.

What are yours?

1. A arse whipping of epic proportions.
2. Sad Chapel Hill fans in the stands
3. A good crowd... Even though the game is scheduled for 6pm for some reason. A 7pm tip makes much more sense. Good luck to those entering Greensboro from the east :oops:

1) a Win! Just win this dang game, on the road against a ranked team, keeping the undefeated season alive!

2) a Big Win, like 16 to 20 points, but still a test for the team throughout most of the game. Building the squad’s confidence that even ranked teams, on the road, go down badly in the end!

3) a Landslide Win; enough that the coaching staff continues with the Ten Player rotation! Having a 30-pt lead at halftime certainly helps with that!

1. I like seeing players like Morgan and Allie in the game in the first and second quarter; when the outcome of the game is still in doubt. I hope to see that even though North Carolina is a step up in competition.
2. If Azzi is available, I hope she plays a few minutes.
3. This is a test for Ice. Ice was pretty good against South Florida. Well, I want to see a run of good games now. I want to see consistency.

1. Just watched last years game against UNC. Their Center (Gakdeng) is quick and aggressive and I don't think ICE can deal with her, I think it will take Jana, but fouls can be a problem

2. The other two 6'3"+ players, including Toomey, do not play a ton of minutes so Sarah should be more than they can handle.

3. Their best scoring Guard, Deja Kelly, transferred but their top scorers Ustby and Donarski are both good, but not anywhere close to Paige good.

Hold these 3, Gakdeng, Ustby and Donarski to a total of 45-50 and we win by double digits.

1. The bench players continue to show how good they are!
2. Paige to just dominate the game from tip to final buzzer!
3. To stun the noisy/cocky NoCar crowd in the first period and for the rest of the game. To make a statement to all Division I WCBB!

ESPN2 is showing a football game, North Texas vs UTSA, at 8:00

In order for us to win:

NO foul trouble by Jana and Ice. UNC has too much dominance down there.

Perimeter defense needs to be top notch. I have a feeling we're going to be missing Nika covering Donarksi. She made 5 3's in UNC's last game. She's a big threat. Our guards will also have to shoot really well, Ash might not be able to afford a slow first half offensively like against USF.

Must win the rebound battle.

Three things:
  1. A statement win against the first ranked opponent;
  2. Playing through any adversity and mightily counterpunching;
  3. A national coming out party particularly for Sarah, Jana, Ice and perhaps, Morgan.
Already priced-in:
  • Paige 3.0;
  • Sophomore Leap is real;
  • Sarah and Jana are the real deal;
  • Vaunted UConn runs are back;
  • Kaitlyn and KK are a good lead point guard combo;
  • Ash, the super sophomore.

1: 3 of our players with a double-double

2: all of our available players getting an opportunity to contribute in a win

3: Q showing why she was recruited by UConn
