A win and no injuries are always included, so these are my top 3 other things:

1) First away game for the freshmen and Ice, but no nerves and let's keep the energy level high and play even better than our opener.

2) Caroline to have more of an impact by continuing the return to her old form and moving without the ball so Paige and Nika can find her.

3) Run baby run and press baby press. We have the depth this year for both plus a stronger Aubrey and an exceptionally quick KK on defense.

What are your top 3?

1) Ice getting more minutes and scoring more points- just 10 minutes and 3 points against Dayton
2) Caroline getting at least 12 points and scoring inside more
3) Amari setting up inside & demanding ball, receives pass and hits turn-around jumper, fouled and hits the +1

.-.
1) Azzi & Paige catch fire …the most devastating one two punch in WCBB
2) Nika, Aubrey go into smother mode on “D”
3) UCONN makes a statement with a big road win….and Geno STILL finds something to b—-h about

1) Paige improvement,
2) Bigger impact from the bigs not named Aaliyah, (we are so small compared to some teams)
3) Guards disrupting and staying in front of their assignments.

3) STOP MISSING #*^/#$ LAYUPS!!
(Ok, I cheated)

.-.
1) Ice getting more minutes and scoring more points- just 10 minutes and 3 points against Dayton
2) Caroline getting at least 12 points and scoring inside more
3) Amari setting up inside & demanding ball, receives pass and hits turn-around jumper, fouled and hits the +1
Predict this will be close game. Unlikely to see the same, 10 person lineup as Butler. DeBerry and Ines unlikely to play. Limited if any time for Slade and Samuels. Predict the results will affect these top 3:
-Ice to get more minutes and perform at a dominate level
-Paige getting more confidence, particularly on her drives to basket
-UConn press generates results, more than we have seen in years. As a smaller team, suspect this is a Geno strategy we will see more and more of throughtout the year.

1) No injuries
2) Aaliyah and Ice showing the State bigs what post play really is
3) Another game with an assist-to-turnover ratio greater than 2
(Aside: UConn point guards against Dayton: 26 points on 10-22 shooting; 16 rebounds; 16 assists; 1 turnover; 8 steals in 67 minutes)

I'm going to focus on things we didn't see on Wednesday.

1. Paige finds her midseason form -- It's clear she's already the spirit of the team, now she needs to become the "bucket getter" again.
2. Ice channels her inner Aaliyah and starts making all those shots.
3. Amari gets her head in the game. We could really use the big girl to become a focused player. You can do it, Amari!

.-.
1. From the jump we attack on offense along with stifling defense so we have at least a 10 point lead by the first TV timeout.
2. Continued freshman development & integration on both ends of the court, more from Ashlynn and Ice this game as KK and Qadence had a great first game.
3. If and when Amari gets on the court that she plays with confidence and positive energy so that she might earn the chance to get into the rotation going forward, especially as injury insurance during the season. She should try to channel Dorka or Liv at the very least.

In addition to a win, a convincing win, no injuries, and Sarah Strong in UConn gear ...

1. Liya continues to make her case for 1st Team All-American.

2. Azzi and Q combine for 10+ threes.

3. Nika causes the announcers to absolutely rave about her and her game. The Croatian Sensation!

3.a. Aubrey gets 2 plays on Sports Center's Top 10.

(1) DEFENSE! That's what wins games. (2)Caroline regain her 3 pointers with 6. (3) 10 players in the game. That would mean we were great and won easily. GO HUSKIES!!!!!

1--- Paige and Edwards to play like their past ALL-American status or better.
2--- Azzi and Caroline to show off they are 1st team A/A and 3rd team A/a "Quality-type caliber players," respectively.
3--- The remainder of the team overall "shoot the ball well."

1. Smothering defense combined with full court pressure - run NC State in the ground.
2. Continued balance scoring - at least 5 in double figures
3. Paige shaking off more of the rust.
3a. Continued growth of the freshmen and Ice.

.-.
1. Geno using all of the SAME players he inserted in the last game(Let's see if they perform well against a better team.}
2. DON'T overuse Paige or Caroline
3. Insert the freshman, 1 by 1, to play with 4 members of the starting team.

Everyone loves to see all of this group play. Hopefully practices this year will be like the old days where they were harder than the games so the starting 5 don't require work into the 4th quarter to get long hard game ready. Obviously ALWAYS want no injuries! But here are my game hopes:
1. 7 players in double figures (that means shooting is going well)
2. Paige is relaxed and back to her old shooting and passing form
3. UConn's superb no dribble offense going full force for 4 quarters with everyone involved

1.Paige taking another small step forward
2.Another game with the turnovers under 10..it is so refreshing to see
3. As always Defense!!

1) Ice getting more minutes and scoring more points- just 10 minutes and 3 points against Dayton
2) Caroline getting at least 12 points and scoring inside more
3) Amari setting up inside & demanding ball, receives pass and hits turn-around jumper, fouled and hits the +1
Amari remains a mystery. A 6'6" and if not injured? her failure to date to maximize her height and ability to run the floor makes little sense. We have enough coaches to work with her one and one, shooting, moving without the ball, all the work centers have to put in to improve.
If Amari is still rehabbing a long-term injury, I take it all back, if not, we have a tall cheerleader.
