It's not George Blaney's fault that UConn's losing - if anything, Calhoun's spine threw Blaney in front of a bus. He was handed a bus that had no brakes and no steering wheel.

But, I'm not sure a team that is completely lost at sea needs a gentle hand on the rudder right now. When things are going to hell and the Captain looks perfectly serene, the crew isn't going to take much comfort in his ability to take charge.

Bad metaphors aside, there is a screaming, bouncing lunatic on the staff who could be promoted in time for this weekend. High energy, used to playing a up and down style, a big enough personality to trample any personalities that are currently in the way...might be time. (And by might be, I mean it is time.)

Ollie? bc I always thought he was pretty cool and collected. Hobbs? He was pretty animated as a coach, but I just can't think you mean him.

This actually is a great idea. I'm 'in the mood' for a coach who went 138-151 in the Ivy League. I know some people that played for him at Conn - he's as crazy as he seems.

Hobbs is the perfect psycho to serve as the final option to fix it.

Yes, let's look to a guy whose future may in some respect depend on how the team responds. It is utterly absurd that this wasn't the move from the get-go. But let's correct the mistake and get it done.

I'm tired of seeing of getting a shot of the bench and seeing the "hey Glen, what would you have done against Dartmouth" conversation.

Blaney was never even an average game coach. Calhoun is a short timer, whether he retires this year or next year or the one after that, and Blaney certainly is never going to get the job. Why not see what Ollie can do?

Talking about changes is scary in February.

Glad I missed the game because of work.

What I saw was horrible and that's being nice.
Someone has to take lead on the bench and on the court. Right now I would let Boatright run the team on the court and let Ollie lead on the bench. UConn needs to know what he can do and this is the perfect time to find out.

I am your man. I know nothing about coaching basketball but that doesn't matter, because I put the headphones on to watch the game on my flight from Newark to Tampa last night and got the lard ass in the middle seat to stop slopping his lard over into my seat space within minutes of the game starting. There was no hesitation in my screams to "Take the shot" or "Get back" (that one put him in the lap of the poor women on the other side of him). If I can move lard ass in the middle seat I can motivate these boys to play. BTW we probably should have pulled them all and played the walk ons, because they played like walkons the last 10 minutes or so.

I know a few of his former Brown players. They unanimously agree that he's an absolute lunatic.
