Agreed. not sure how she was left off the mid season adjustment list, but right after that she went on a tear. someone else pointed out her stats are actually mostly better across the board than Renee Montgomery's were the year Renee was a 1st team AA. i found that very interesting. Go Tiff! keep playing great and everything else will fall into place.

as a side note, i have to say i think her WNBA draft stock has gone up a bit. the way she's playing, if you were a WNBA GM, name 3 other seniors not named Nneka you'd take over Tiff...

And comparable to Diana's senior season stats! Tiffany Hayes is having a Diana Taurasi-type year!

I am really pulling for her. 10 spots on the AA team right? You have a couple of automatics in Griner and Nneka, probably Diggins and EDD are nearly so. So Tiff has to get one of the 6 remaining spots. IMO she's already earned it but I don't have a vote.

On the WBCA AA team, yes, ten spots. On the AP, there are only five. However, I'm pretty sure WBCA would get her on the wall, which would be pretty sweet.

Certainly, her career is not on par with some of the absolute greatest Huskies, but if you wanted a kid coming up to understand what it means to play for UConn, how hard you're expected to go every second you're in the game, what paying the price is all about, Tiff is someone you'd want her to emulate.

As Geno has said, it all comes down to how you perform in the big tv games. Much will depend on what Tiff does in ND2, BE and NCAAs.

If Hayes has a big game against Notre Dame I may agree. I need to see her have a big game against one of the top teams before I can put her there. She has certainly played well of late.

Well, I've stated my stance on that. It is more about the stats against the top teams that sway my opinion. Against the other top 5 teams (Duke, Baylor, Stanford and ND) she is simply not producing enough (avg of 9 pts and 7 rebs) for me to put here there. I need to see big performances against the other top teams.

Stricklen's game against ND and Hayes' game against Duke sort of wash each other as they were both hampered by injury. )Stricklen's first game back from the knee injury and Tiffany's blow to the head)
