Thursday games lineup

Virginia leads Louisville at half
It seems like Virginia always gives Louisville fits when they play in Charlottesville. Didn't think it would happen this year, though.

I seem to recall that two years ago Louisville *barely* escaped with a win (overtime?).

Durr disappearing 0-5 from 3pt.

Minny leading Mary 45-36 at the half.

I didn't realize what a great turnaround the 'Sotans had made since starting Big 10 play 2-7.

In all fairness, they started 2-7. But yeah, the are on a very quiet 6-game winning streak. Not at all too late for them to win their way into the NCAA tournament.

And Michigan State goes down. Ohio State wins 77-70.

Kevin McGuff will be getting votes for Big Ten COY. No joke.

Wow

Some home cooking going on in South Carolina, SC gets a 89 second shot clock

.-.
Minnesota has taken a 52-38 lead over Maryland early in 3Q. Brenda calls timeout.

Pitts has 21 points, Bell has 15, Bello with 9 rebounds.

3:45 left 3rd quarter...NC State leading Wake Forest, 57-28. NC State led by as many as 37 points but Wake currently on an 8-0 run.

NC State getting unexpected contributions tonight from their thin bench, with Kayla Jones pouring in 9 points and freshman Esra McGoldrick contributing a block and a FG for 2 points.

Virginia leads Louisville at half

Lou scores 2 and UVA timeout.

Lou then scores 10-0 run with a press and multiple TOs and NO timeout by Tina. wth? Your only chance to beat Lou is to keep them close.
39-30 now, but effectively game over.

Bad third quarter by ND. 20 Point game now got outscored by 7 that quarter. 64-44 end of 3.

Virginia Tech has battled back to make it close with Miami, down by 3 at end of 3Q.

Duke's Goodchild is 6-10 from 3 including one from about 6 feet beyond the arc.

Duke shooting 50% from 3 to keep the margin somewhat respectable.

.-.
End of 3rd quarter...NC State holding a 62-30 lead on Wake Forest.

Lackluster Q1 for Miss St 16-15 over Ole Miss.

OM employing the Hack a Tea defense.

End of 3rd quarter...NC State holding a 62-30 lead on Wake Forest.
Is that same hilarious loud mouth in the crowd giving the refs hell on every possession?

No...I think he only shows up for the BIG games. Seems appropriate, since he sounds like a BIG guy.

Irish lead Duke at the half, 52-25. Arike 8-11 for 19 pts, passing Skylar Diggins to become Notre Dame's all-time leading scorer.
ND up 52-25 at half. Arike is now the all time leading scorer at ND.
Congrats to Arike for passing Skylar (I'm not all that fond of Arike, but MUCH moreso than I am of Skylar). Seriously though, congrats.

4:10 left 4th quarter...NC State leading Wake Forest, 74-40.

Freshman Esra McGoldrick with three made FG...including her second THREE of the season and has a career-high 7 points for the Wolfpack Women.

Tennessee @ #21 Texas A&M (9pm). Will Carter have to sit after her ejection in the previous game?

Thanks Plebe: I wouldn't miss this for anything, but I would have had you not done us this service.

Minnesota has really tightened up, and Maryland has cut the deficit to 5 in mid-4Q. Mikesell has hit 3-pointers on consecutive possessions.

.-.
Cooper with a boot on the left foot. Obviously not returning for this game.

VPI led Miami 58-54. Now 58 all. I'd have to look but it feels like VPI has had a lot of near misses this year.

Aisha Sheppard has been a major force for VT this game, just hit a big 3 to give VT a 3-point lead with 1:33 to play.

Yes, they've had a lot of close calls. Lost in OT to both Syracuse and NC State. Lost by 2 points to Florida State. Was way up on Virginia and then had in a horrible collapse down the stretch to lose by 4.

Virginia Tech up 5 with 1:13 to go. Would be a big home win to beat #14 Miami.

.-.
