if they've only sold 3,500 tickets as of today, how come the best seats I could get two days ago were in Section 207, row 11? Are they pulling a ticketmaster?
P.S. Gampel holds 10,167.
Don't look at me. I have my tickets bought and paid for and I will be there before tip-off of the first game.
Keep in mind, even if the best seats you can get are in a "bad" section, there may be empty seats in better sections. You can always sit there until the seat "owners" show up.
Admittedly, it has been awhile. I knew they did this for the lower sections, but there may be empty seats lower than row 11 in the upper deck. When was the last time you attended a game in person? I've been a season ticket holder for several years and the Gampel watchdog staff always ask to see my tickets before they let me into any section.
I also checked and there a single seats only in 1 lower section but the upper sections are pretty wde open.

But...outside of the discomfort factor of the bleacher seats there really isn't a bad viewing spot in Gampel. I used to sit at the top of 216, last row. Never had a problem with the view - just the back spasms from the bleachers.
Did UConn have to hold back seats per the NCAA to sell to fans of the three visiting teams?? Just wondering if that is but one of the reasons for the low sales (not to mention the $96....). IIRC, we paid $15/game/per person for our pre-season sale season tix. So $33/game is a little steep.....may pay it, tho, if I can buy seats at the tix office tomorrow morning.
I went to the UConn-Stanford game this last year in Palo Alto, we were in the nosebleeds on the sides and the seats were great!Honestly there is really not a bad seat in Gampel.
