It could happen, from the side or from behind... just not likely from the front.
It's only happened once. Stewart is more than capable if the opportunity presents itself.

If it is true I have never once seen her use that leaping ability in any of the dozen or so times I have seen her play.
There are some good stills of Breanna getting off the floor quite well.
IMO, the outcome of each game depends on how much the Baylor guards pass BG the ball. It's that simple...pass her the ball A LOT and Baylor wins. If the Baylor guards get shot-happy and forget to pass to #42, UCONN wins.
If it's that simple, UConn will put pressure on the guards and use their depth on the post to limit (not stop) Griner's touches. IMO.
If Baylor feeds the ball to Griner over and over and over, the UCONN front line will all be on the bench at the end of the game. Baylor will have to use Griner like they have never used her before if they want to beat UCONN, and you can bet that Mulkey knows this.
Griner can have her 20-25. UConn's defense will shut down everyone else. Including Sims.
IMO.
Griner will have a lot more that 20-25. By the end of next year she will be the best player on the planet. I can guarantee you that she is using her summer to improve and will come out a much better player than she was last year, and that was pretty darn good. She has improved tremendously in each of her first three years, and has not even gotten close to reaching her full potential. Oddly enough, she still has tremendous up-side. By the end of her senior year she will be virtually unstoppable.
Trash, I fancy our chances...and that's all I have to say
coo coo, coo coo.
If you think she will have a lot more against the best defense in WCBB next year, I guess you think she will average 30-35 for the season? Unless she only plays 20-25 minutes because of blowouts?
And Chandler will be one of the best forwards in the country because you saw her in practice.
You are Baylors answer to TonyC...lol. I love it. Can't wait for the February matchup!
Griner won't average 30+ just for the reason that you said. However, in the UCONN game she will need to get those numbers for Baylor to win.
February will be fun!
With all this back and forth, the one thing I feel more and more certain about is that next year it will be Baylor, UCONN, and then a big drop-off to anyone else.
Sort of like Nicklaus and Watson on Sunday at Turnberry
Agreed. I simply cannot see any team playing either Baylor or UCONN too closely. And for the record, I DO believe that UCONN has the potential to beat Baylor. I think these will possibly be the two best teams that we have ever had the pleasure of seeing hit the court at the same time. The games should be played at an incredibly high level.
With all the talk of Steph Dolson, Bre Stewart, Kiah Stokes and Morgan Tuck, have you forgotten Heather Buck? That girl has earned her scholly in the Baylor games. If Baylor feeds the ball to Griner over and over and over, the UCONN front line will all be on the bench at the end of the game.
Spot on, Nan. Defensively, Heather has played as well as anyone against Griner. With all the talk of Steph Dolson, Bre Stewart, Kiah Stokes and Morgan Tuck, have you forgotten Heather Buck? That girl has earned her scholly in the Baylor games.
Listen...the Baylor game will not be a problem...I have my operatives in place and we assure you that Brittney will be demonstrating her latest long board tricks two days before the scheduled UConn / Baylor game
