I bet Baylor jumps Stanford with a shot of passing Oregon too. Beating UCONN pushes them 3 spots up is my guess...even if it doesnt make sense because Stanford beat Baylor.

Read on twitter a lot of the voters have had the hardest time with this weeks poll. Some even commented how the put Louisville as no.1 since they are undefeated. I don't know how it will turn out.

My guess:
1) ND or Louisville
2) ND or Louisville
3) UConn or BU
4) UConn or BU

Honestly, we don’t look like #1 team. Sometimes we don’t look like #3 team. We will know a bit more after Thursday. Undefeated is nice, but it tells you nothing about March.
My hope is for a #1 seed in the tourney, and a win against ND or Uconn would go a long way in securing that.

I think we are in for a dogfight on Thursday. ND is going to be out for blood. Shepherd had her way with us last year. Our interior defense and rebounding is no where close to as good as last year.

Win or lose I always want to be competitive and make a game of it. Not making any predictions, but sure hope we can steal a win in South Bend.

Anyone else hoping for a tie at the top? It would be great marketing for the Notre Dame- Louisville matchup if they were both ranked number 1 when they face off this week. A long shot for sure but that's what I'm hoping for.

My real guess:
1. Notre Dame
2. Louisville
3. UConn
4. Baylor
5. Oregon
6. Stanford
7. Mississippi State
8. NC State
9. Maryland
10. Oregon State

I can see a legitimate argument for each of the teams in that top 4 to receive first place votes, and would not be surprised if they do. Has that ever happened this late in the season?

Hey I was kinda right. If Louisville loses then will they drop out of top 4?

AP Women's Basketball Poll Week 10

Pretty generous of the voters to leave Minnesota as high as #18 after they lost at Michigan and, especially, at home vs. Illinois.

Formerly #15 Michigan State also stays in the poll despite two road losses at Northwestern and Indiana.

Florida State goes from unranked all the way to #22 on the strength of ... barely beating Virginia and North Carolina? Ugh.

And UCF gets 1 vote!

Why would we drop out of T4 if we lose? When ND was pummeled by Uconn they only dropped one spot. If we lose to ND on their court, worst case scenario would be down to 4, IMHO. I would even question why they would drop that far.

This will all change Thursday (Louisville at ND)... and multiple times before the end of March.

1- N D(has beaten a handful of top 25 teams. UConn has beat 3)
2- UConn
3-Baylor
4-Louisville
(undefeated yes but only two wins vs top 25, #22 Arizona St and #16 Kentucky. Loads of cupcakes on their schedule)
5-Miss St

I wouldn't say they go any lower than 5. It was just a question. I would guess down to 4.

I expect more shuffling in/out of top 10 over the next month particularly within 8-10! I also expect more shuffling within the top 10 over the next few weeks.

Lou is a big question mark in voters minds given their sked so far, so the ND game will be given a lot of weight.

TN lost to an unranked team, and only dropped a little.

Notre Dame back at No. 1 in AP women's basketball poll
Yeah, this really makes a lot of sense. We trash ND on their homecourt and we both have one loss ....resulting in their ranked #1 and we end-up, with the Baylor loss,#3. All the reason why you have to ignore the early rankings. They’re not only meaningless, but at times like this, nonsensical!!

I mean ND lost to no.2 by double digits at home. Where as UConn lost to no.8 by double digits on the road. I think it's pretty fair where the top 4 are right now.

What a disgrace. UConn crushed ND recently on their home court. Both teams have similar SOS, 1-loss. And, they put ND over UConn??? Garbage & typical ND-bias. That's all I'll say.
