It only seemed like forever. Trouble is forever gets longer and longer each season. Go Huskies!

It truly made my day seeing Azzi playing basketball again. Do we think she will be ready to play meaningful minutes at the beginning of the season based on her movement in this video?
I think she might. Not so much because of how she is moving in this video but because 9 months is pretty standard for full recovery. I also gather she has been working with specialists around the country on her recovery so she I wouldn't be surprised if her treatment is more advanced that most.

It looks like all of UConn’s guards are ready to shoot about 80% from the arc this year. ;)

The only player I clearly recognize that is not a guard is Q, who continues to impress me with just how much muscle she’s added to her lean frame.

If everyone stays healthy imagine how UConn could spread the floor this season. Who do you guard? Who do you double team and leave open for the kick out? If UConn has crisp passing and good ball movement this season, it's going to be a very good one. I never predict pre-season, but I am excited.

The key to the 2024-2025 season is obviously their health, but the outlook of the potential scoring is mind blowing!
Just MHO the scoring possibilities:
KK 12-15 pts.
Paige 25 to 28 pts.
Jana 15-18 pts.
Quadence 6 to 8 pts.
Allie 6 pts.
Ashlynn 12-15 pts.
Kaitlyn 12-15 pts.
Sarah 15-18 pts.
Morgan 6 pts.
Ice 10-12 pts.
Caroline 12-15 pts. (If completely healthy)
Ayanna 5-7 pts. (If completely healthy)
Azzi 20-25 pts. (If completely healthy)
Aubrey 12-15 pts. (If completely healthy)
168 taking the lowest number!
Totally over-the-top but I really think the potential for an average of 100 points per game is an outside possibility!
No other Division I WBB team has this potential!

if these uconn kids can provide thoroughly stifling defense (as they usually have in past years) it's going to be a very, very good year.

Looks like I'll have predict a minimum of 55 MoV for the teams outside the top 15 ranked teams this year...:D:cool:

It will be hard to score on the exact score for the prognosticators. A very nice situation to have!

BOTS! [Bring On The Season!] Go Huskies! :):):)

I think that the primary hope for a national championship this year is a minimum of injuries. We can talk all we want to about the talent on the floor but if they aren't able to play it's akin to a pitcher who can throw 100 mph but can't find the strike zone.

I’d be shocked if we have one player average 25+ points, much less two! I agree Paige and a healthy Azzi could score 20-25 points per game but probably not with this team. There’s just too much talent on this roster to allow anyone to be that dominant of a scorer! That kind of scoring requires a player to be basically without a conscience in addition to being a truly gifted scorer. I just don’t see that happening on any Geno Auriemma team much less one as talented throughout the roster as this one!

Have we ever had a player average 25 ppg? I thought our record was about 22-23 ppg.

Players who have never averaged 20 ppg at UConn include Rebecca, Diana, Tina, and Stewie.

Maya, UConn’s all time leading scorer, averaged 22.8 ppg her senior season, which, I believe is the only time a UConn player averaged over 20 ppg for a single season.

I know Paige averaged that (above 20) last season and around there her freshman year.
I'm also kinda sure phee averaged slightly over 20 her sophomore year

Cuango- - - I was talking about this team having the POTENTIAL to score those points in a game!
I agree with you that with ALL the talent UConn WBB has on it's roster now the chances are slim that one player or several players will dominate!
But if we're facing a SoCar, ND, LSU, TX, etc. we have players who can take over and score in the high 20's or low 30's!

I stand corrected. Paige did average 20 in both her Freshman season (20.0) as well as last season (21.9). Pheesa hit for 20.4 as a sophomore and 20.9 as a senior.
