The way the refs call NBA games is a big joke

Just something for the conspiracy theorists out there:

Stephen A Smith had some strong comments about the technical fouls called on the Celtics. I'd link you to the video, but it's been removed from ESPN's site.

There's an article which suggests that Smith believed the league wanted the refs to call technicals in game 1, but it appears someone wasn't too happy with Smith's comments.

You think Danny Ainge would've ever made an All-Star Game if her were born 20 years later? The answer's no.

With the amount of playing and practicing kids do now vs when Ainge was coming up? Who knows how that would have improved things. The technology available now for training and recovery purposes is light years ahead of what players in the 80's knew. Don't downplay that factor too.
