@Tim_Fontenault: Team Geno: Calhoun, Chong, Daniels, Giffey, Hartley, Lenehan, Napier, Nolan, Pulido, Samuel, Stewart, Stokes, Watts #UConn

@Tim_Fontenault: Team Kevin: Banks, Boatright, Brimah, Dolson, Facey, Jefferson, Kromah, Lawlor, KML, Olander, Purvis, Tolksdorf, Tuck #UConn

My prediction is that Ollie wins.

In a serious competition I would have to take team Geno.

No Brendan Allen this year?

That's actually pretty cool. Reminds me of The Voice, and I love the fact that the coaches seem to already have a really good relationship. Clearly they are going to have fun with this. I get that some fans would rather see the men scrimmaging the men and the women doing the same, but it's something different, and fun hopefully for the players. I think it's been pretty clear the past several years how much the teams support each other. Seeing the coaches get in on the fun is a great bonus.

Wow, you could make an awfully good lineup with men alone on Geno's team: Shabazz, DD, Giffey, Calhoun, & Nolan. They're the obvious pick, though I could see Purvis going nuts in this game...

How did Geno end up with four of the men's starters the sixth man and Stewart?

Seniority has it's advantages. Though Klaiber has a point, I could see Purvis treating this like the National Championship game.

I guess if Boat has any second thoughts it could be a glimpse at 2014-2015s starting backcourt.

Although neither coach ever said much about the other, and always expressed respect for each other's ability, it's no secret that Auriemma and Jim Calhoun did not have a warm personal relationship, although they brought a total of 10 NCAA titles to Storrs.

Ollie and Auriemma are effusive in their praise of one another.

"I've known Kevin since he was 18 years old," Auriemma said. "Since [former assistant] Howie Dickenmann brought him in. I was always impressed with his work ethic, with how he prepared himself. There's not a doubt in my mind he's going to be great. Not a doubt in my mind."

Mutual Admiration: Kevin Ollie And Geno Auriemma, 10/10/12

Brendan Allen is gone? First the Fresh Prince transfers to UNLV, then Uncle Phil exhausts his eligibility, and now Carlton is gone. I feel like NBC in 1996.

Geno has the two best men's players (Napier and Daniels) and the best women's player (Stewart). They'll win.

Coach Ollie wins as KML sinks five 3's. Boat assists on all of them!

I see it as an OC/KML three point contest.

I giver OC the edge based on the likelihood that they will be using the men's ball.

Yeah I really don't understand how this was done, seems Geno's team is severely overloaded unless Purvis is already one of the 3 best players on the court. And even then.

This is probably an extremely outdated question and a bit off topic, but has there ever been any story behind Calhoun and Auriema's apparent rocky relationship?
