Stepping out of bounds up with 45 secs to go and than giving up the lead with a 3 has to be an all time choke no?

Good lord the lack of urgency on that last possession. Wow. The AAC blows.

.-.
Smu blew it, USC though could very well make a FF run.

No way are they beating Duke or Villanova. SMU choked that entire 2nd half.

The only thing that just happened was the AAC being exposed.

Ya, smu is good at looking all big and tough in the aac, but when it comes to playing good solid P5 teams...bye. I know I got called out for saying they could/would lose in the first round in some threads. But still, woulda been nice for them to take care of business in the last 45 seconds.

Cincy. Represent.

They absolutely can not saying it will happen. You got a talented team with a tournament coach that's a dangerous thing I think the play in game was an advantage for them.

for the sake of future seeding SMU really needs to win.

The seeding will come down to how the conference does in OOC, as it usually does. We will certainly have the opportunities.

The winner of this game will have an advantage vs the 3 seed.

Where is this take coming from?

Yeah Smu choked there's 2 sides to a story we didn't look great vs St Joes in round 1 look what we did with that momentum.

Playing against Rodney Purvis for 3 seasons finally wore off on SMU with the heel on the out of bounds play.

Tough loss for them, but they played really bad in the stretch.

SMU completely gave that game away, from looking befuddled against a zone and not attacking it for 10 mins to stepping out of bounds up 2 with the ball in final minute to taking their leisurely time on final possession with 3 timeouts.

The First game did not give USC an advantage because SMU was up 12 early.

I am just curious why you are so low on Baylor. They are going to be -6 or so and rightfully so. I was just curious why you are so low on them. Drew is getting a reputation after busting out earlier 2 years in a row with mediocre teams but they have made some nice runs in the past. But in reality, his teams typically out perform their pre-season expectations.

Same thing 2 years ago - SMU wins AAC tourney, gets a 6 seed, loses 1st round by 1 to UCLA.

Watching the replay on that last possession again for SMU, its shocking how slow they are moving and how much time they wasted. Bizarre.

They choked that game away too. Up 7 with 1:30 to go.

Larry Brown sat there like a statute as it all happened and never called a timeout.

It was like a repeat.

To be fair the refs blew that game against UCLA with a horrendous goaltending call.

It's not that I'm low on Baylor I think a team that is coming off 2 close games rallying from behind is an advantage just my opinion. USC had a lot of talent and Enfield as he had shown is a tournament coach. Usc has a lot of monentum and is battle tested in a close game I think they have an advantage.

Yea, I was just curious, not picking on you. I haven't really seen USC outside of the tournament games and think Baylor has a nice squad.
