I am all aboard the St. Mary's bandwagon. They're my local team in the East Bay and looked great against VCU.
Yea, every game is obviously unique. You were referring to ND and UVA earlier. I don't think either of those teams have NBA talent. So you are right on that point. But a lot of these teams do have 1st round bucket getters that are the difference in close games. No one on UVM could stand up to a guy like Swanigan, who isn't even an elite prospect, but still a likely 1st rounder. Sometimes we see the mid-majors with better high end talent than middling P5's nowadays. I would take Upshaw over any kid on UM.
I have to say: Ian Eagle is exactly the right play-by-play guy for this FGCU game. He's got a little Gus Johnson in him.
This game and announcing are hugely entertaining. I wish there weren't a halftime.
Ian Eagle is my favorite on air guy for bball. Oh, if only we could trade Doris or Welsh for him.
Did they toss Brimah for throwing a "punch"?same crew that did uconn cinci reffing the st marys game?
Ha! I did the exact same thing. So I was 15-1 and pretty excited until I checked the standings this morning on the Capital One Tournament Challenge and saw I'm in 11,412th place!!I'm a super impulsive ETSU over Florida pick away from a perfect first day grrr
I'm 154,000th on ESPN. It makes me feel better because my wacky upset bracket is like 14 millionthHa! I did the exact same thing. So I was 15-1 and pretty excited until I checked the standings this morning on the Capital One Tournament Challenge and saw I'm in 11,412th place!!
There were 5+ games last night that were somewhat close throughout (mostly 5 pts games), but then all spread to almost the exact same 10pt margin at 75-65-ish @ under 2 minutes left. None of the dogs made a legitimate threat. Felt like I watched the exact same 80-70 final 6 times.Overall not a very exciting day 1 of the NCAAT. Hopefully we get some buzzer beaters today.
Almost predicted that one but too easy with lowest pt spread and the karma police all over Baylor. Oregon is the other 'easy' one due to their injury, but I actually think they'll rally for a couple games at least. If I could command a somewhat possible upset to happen it'd be LouisvilleLooks like Bayler is in for another first round dogfight.

Good news is that means someone big is going down today. When there are day 1 upsets it wakes up the day 2 favorites. Instead right now Duke -19.5, Baylor -12, Kansas -23.5, Oregon -15.5, Louisville -18.5, UNC -27, UCLA -18.5 & Kentucky -20 are complacent. Mark it down that at least one of those eight will lose.
If you went dogs across board in those 8 I think you win 5-6/8
