Thought I'd start this off. Sox are blazing hot in the grapefruit league. Team has lost some power, but upgraded the defense and speed tremendously. It feels like a modern NBA squad with loads of players that have positional flexibility. 1B looks like a weak spot, but I think the team believes Casas will be up at some point so they didn't want to spend there or block him. Shaw and Bobby D is adequate. The pitching staff looks promising, despite losing Sale for some time (again). Houck is ready to be a + level starter. They optioned Duran, but he'll be back.
I think the lack of a splashy move aside from Story has people sleeping on this team a bit. But that was true last year as well. The depth and flexibility will help win games and the upgraded defense will help the pitching staff.
