well he has fallen back to earth his last couple of starts. maybe he should ease off patenting that Big Sexy moniker.

The guy is unflappable. Has a rough first inning and just doesn't ruffle at all. In Washington, with Duda and Conforto out of the lineup, going against Gio Gonzalez who usually gives the Mets fits.

Let's see what Harvey does tonight. Supposedly, he worked off the Citi mound this weekend and used some tracker technology to refine his arm angle and release point or something. The 7 Line Army will be there with a crowd that travelled in for this one too.

My little brother got me this t-shirt for my birthday; if you recall Shea Stadium you'll appreciate it even more:

I horrified my family by wearing it for the annual party we host over Memorial Day weekend with 50+ guests. Of course, Barto was pitching that day, so that was my defense.
 
How great is this? He may pitch to 1 or 2 batters in the All Star Game.
Thank God we signed him with Harvey gone now, and Wheeler probably not coming in 16.
He really is our 3 or 4 now.

just not the All Star game I guess. Nor Familia. NL champs had zippity in the classic. When has that happened prior?

Used to happen a lot before interleague play. Happens less often now and it's almost always pitchers.
What makes this year odd is that Collins was the manager and didn't put in his guys. Although Familia was going to get the save if NL was ahead and Bartolo was the x-innings guy.
 
yeah. save the rubber arm for innings 10-13 if needed.
Growing up in the 70s it was an auto win fir the NL every year. Table's have turned, and bad time with home field on the line in WS

Yanks will be happy he is not batting tonight. Maybe a hit or 2 by our newbie Bruce.

Funny because I didn't realize he was pitching tonight until I tuned in around a half hour ago. BUT I should have detected the omen when I noticed it clean and folded on my bed when I got home from work, which kind of shocked me because we've been having some loooong laundry delays in the house of late and I've been a bit vocal about it. I never expected a turnaround by the next rotation.

So yes it's clean but I'm not wearing it. Perhaps as a sign of my waning attitude on this season, I'm not motivated to change it now that I see that d'Arnoud is committed to make it a wasted effort.

Killing it tonight. Most wins on Mets and most consistent. The "#5" until Wheeler. Thank God we signed him. Dude shows up every 4 to 5 days and is a gamer.
And he ain't a china doll like the rest of them
