6'1 283 lbs. Best pitcher on the stable -o-studs Mets staff. 42.
2 yr contract and has done all that he has been asked. Better hitter than about 8-9 others on team. (LOL ).
9-4 this year. Do not dangle him as a hired gun in a trade, Wilpons. Gee, Niese, yes.

    COSIGN!

After he let that (almost) perfect bunt roll foul and then scooped it up like a vulture, I texted my brother (another long-suffering Mets fan): "I love Barto."

    The guy is unflappable.

He's been quite an asset to my fantasy teams...from the waiver wires! K/BB is a stat in several of my leagues and his 8 K/BB is OUTSTANDING!

How quickly we forget that Harvey started the year 5-0 and even after getting knocked around last start has an ERA 0.8 better than Colon's. Then there's Jacob deGrom who has been a bonafide ace and no one seems to care lol.

Having said that, he's consistent, unflappable, and just generally hilarious to watch. He eats innings (among other things), fields his position well, and isn't an automatic strikeout at the plate anymore.

He'll be missed next year assuming he retires which I guess he doesn't really have to. I'd bring him back on a one year deal to be the 5 starter behind all the young guns next year. He could eat some innings while Wheeler finishes his rehab. 4 guys 27 or younger throwing 94-98 and a 43 year old Bartolo Colon. It's what dreams are made of.

If he comes back it would have to be at a big pay cut - no way cheapo Wilpons paying even 5.5 mill (50% of his current salary)

He'd probably only be worth about $4-5 million but someone would give it to him. Mets have no real need to as long as Harvey, deGrom, Thor and Matz are healthy. Especially if they can't move Niese.

Bringing the thread back pre start v. The Rox.
Crucial game. He could get rocked in the thin air bandbox. Or not.

Go Mets! 4 games up. Shhhhhhhh

Ha classic good Colon start. If the wind was blowing a different direction, he gives up a couple homeruns and is done after 6. Everyone needs a little luck now and then though and I'll certainly take the win!

92 mph yesterday, some movement, and a "W". Nice. And can we get rid of O'Flaherty already? Arsonist

How much do I LOVE this guy? 16 scoreless innings in a row? 9 k's last night? A relief appearance last weekend?

Dude has been worth every penny.
42 and a rubber arm. Innings eater and tough to beat at home or in a large stadium. Trade Wright and his stupidly agreed upon contract and sign El Jefe next yr

Kicking tail tonight. Pitches every fifth day and in relief. Now that Boras' bitch Harvey is done after 2 more starts, maybe, if we do not implode ( very likely) maybe the MadoffAldersons allow him to start a playoff game?

Bucs are going to need a couple of starters for half a season or more until their kids (Taillon, Glasnow) come up. I'd love for Bucs to get Colon for 2016.

Storrs: you will get him. The inept organization in Queens will not even try to re sign. They better.
