Eh... With Harvey, deGrom, Matz, Syndergaard, Niese and Verrett already lined up plus Wheeler due back around the deadline, they can probably get by without shelling out ~$8 million or whatever Colon will get. I wouldn't be against bringing him back but I won't blame them for letting him go. I'll definitely miss his general antics if he's gone though.

I love the guy also, but I'd bring him back for one more year only if we traded Harvey this offseason (which I don't think we will). Allows us to have DeGrom/Noah/Matz/Colon/Niese or Verrett until Wheeler is back.

He'll be back. Mets sign him for 1yr, 7.25M.
#5 until Wheeler. And if one the super 4 go down, he's there.
Plus, as he proved postseason, pretty good from the pen.

I like the signing. Cheap and puts up good numbers. As a #5, you could definitely do MUCH worse.

Love the signing. Guess Cuddyer's $$$ went to him and Blevins (which I liked also, was lights out before the two freak injuries).

End of day sports are supposed to be fun, Bartolo is fun, this is good.

An absolute gem by Big Sexy last night. Right now, he's my 2nd favorite pitcher to watch behind Thor.

Lotta movement on his pitches and
a gem. Give him the ball every 5 days or in relief, he's there.
He will be hard to remove if and when Wheeler is available.

past is the past, no need to be a .
faces the best pitcher in baseball tonight. just enjoy it

Hey I agree, to a point. I like the guy, he's fun. But once a cheater always a cheater, speculation never ends. No different than ARod, Papi, Braun etc etc..

He's just a funnier guy than them.

If Colon's success has anything to do with PEDs at this point, then I'm all for it. Because if true, it would mean there's a possibility of a team of all PED-fueled fat guys winning the WS. That would be highly entertaining.

I'm all in too. PED's, blood transfusions anything to have fat guys making me laugh on the baseball field. Hell I'll needle up and make a comeback maybe.
