The Official 2025 NY Jets thread

AG being honest with the media…

"I have all the confidence in the world in Justin, I have all the confidence in the world in Tyrod, and I have all the confidence world in Brady [Cook]," said Glenn, referring to the Jets' practice-squad quarterback, an undrafted rookie.

they will win buffalo at the end of the year. because buffalo will rest everyone, and we don't want the #1 pick, so why not?
maybe one more at the end, dejected miami...

I don't even want those wins. meaningless, empty shells of competition.
empty out the meadowlands - keep your dollars and your peace.

I love the Jets, but I hate this team.

Ha, I came here to post this. Poor kid.

I will tell you…AG needs to learn quick about how to work with the media. His being overly sensitive to every tough question is not going to go over well with Jet fans. The quarterback that he personally selected to lead the team this year( a quarterback that he saw frequently when the Bears played the Lions)has been awful. And he can’t act righteous when he gets asked why the quarterback is failing. The media is just asking questions that the fans want answers to. If he thinks his whole job is protecting his players and ignoring the media and the fans…this won’t end well.

He is 0-7…he needs to grow up and face the music. The Jets fans don’t want him fired (yet)…they just want some acknowledgment that things haven’t gone well and he knows it and will fix it. I don’t want to hear another “we had a good practice this week”. I am disappointed that a man of his age and experience is acting this poorly.

He’s in over his head. And the natural reaction is being overly defensive. And it goes two ways. Either things turn around and he gains credibility (slim chance) or it compounds on itself and buries him eventually (most likely).

That’s the part that’s frustrating…he shouldn’t be in over his head. He is 53 years old…he has been in some form of football coaching/administrative role since 2012.

According to Rich Cimini, Glenn has a big five year contract. Reportedly twice what Saleh was paid. Why? That helps explain why Johnson is so protective of Glenn. He is too cheap to fire him any time in the near future.

The Jets fans are left with one thing…hope. And that strategy never works out for Jets fans.

i like aaron glenn.
he needs time.
If things are gonna get better, they will get worse first.
But - If things are NOT going to get better, they will get worse anyway, in 2025.

So - I keep telling jets fans, ignore the team right now, and keep your sunday peace.
let AG cook for a while and check in once they're watchable again.

That’s just brutal. He was always a fan favorite and seemed to be a great guy.

Way way way way too young.
Very sad and I agree that Nick was way too young. I read that he was injured but played in Rex Ryan’s last game to support Rex.

Unfortunately, Nick needed a kidney transplant due to genetic issues but was not able to receive one in time. RIP Nick.

Sometimes we forget these athletes are people. Fields will make $30mm this year…and despite that success he was crying on the floor of his closet yesterday. It shows how these players care about more than just the money.

Good for him…i am glad he seemed to get out of his head today and just play.
