Disastrous shot lmao. If he has a Spieth-esque meltdown this will get very interesting

Hideki seems like a cool guy, but I want some drama on the final few holes

This thread is hilarious. Not one person named the guy who routed the field, only time he was named was to say he'll blow it. I think XLCenterFan named every player on tour to win except for Matsuyama.
No one had Hideki. He has one top 10 since November. Guy is all over the place. Also I listed 6 guys I bet on, and another 6 I thought had a chance. That’s like 10% of the field. Heck, I bet there’s guys here who thought Tiger was playing.

You are also the guy who described his tee shot on one as a shank. LOL.

Wait, was it not? They held their arms up to say it was going right and it ended up in the woods. He had to punch out. For a pro, that’s a shank.

If you think that was a shank I seriously question your knowledge or understanding of golf.
I guarantee I watch, bet, read, consume, and play more golf than you. Guarantee.

A shank is a ball that hits off the hosel. If you think that driver was a shank you are incorrect.
I’m being less specific with my definition. By “shank,” I mean a shot that was way off, left or right. Blocked, pushed, whatever. There’s courses on tour (and not) where that ball is wet, OB, or lost. Thank you for the clarification though.

I could absolutely be incorrect. I am a total hack and golf ignoramus who plays a couple social rounds a year and watches the final rounds of majors. I thought they said it was a shank when he hit it but may have misheard. Whatever it was I knew it wasn’t good.
