Caroline , of course, and honorable mention for A. Edwards for making
those two free throws late in the 4th quarter to end the
LONG UCONN scoring slump! Edwards 5 for 10 FG for 10 points
and those last two free throw + 2 + 12 points
Caroline of course was 7 for 13 with 5 rebounds steals and at
least one blocked shot NICE!

3 blocks! Yet another example of her basketball IQ! She uses her left hand to avoid fouling. I’m soooo glad she’s on our team!

Caroline's the one! Three really good blocked shots and at least one good post-block stare down. She's bad to the bone!
There was a point in the second half when Caroline was fighting for a rebound and a kid from Creighton trapped Carolin’s left arm so she couldn’t move. After Creighton got the ball and started running up the court, Caroline gave the kid a shot, not hard but she served notice she wouldn’t get pushed around. Right after that is when Caroline fouled her defensive assignment hard with her body on defense, think it was the same kid. Caroline is one tough cookie.

Did not notice the sequence you cited but agree that Ducharme plays with an understated toughness and confidence. I know she comes from a basketball family and I assume her focus on “just playing” stems from that. Extremely impressive in anyone but especially a freshman; she is an absolute player with a capital P!

A tough cookie and fearless. In crunch time and no one wants to take the shot and the clock is running down and there’s no Paige get the ball to Caroline. The same with game ending free throws

I don't think we win without Nika playing, so she gets a game win.
well, maybe not quite; but caroline certainly brings some of the critical intangibles provided by nika --and which this team has been sorely lacking.

both make things happen and inject energy (or is it soul?} that the squad otherwise oddly lacks. once again, when nika entered the game the team played better; it's intangible, but her presence has had that effect repeatedly. it seems like caroline provides some of this rare juice too,

it's sure is welcome!

btw, it's not clear that the incredible paige offers this; it's like too much to expect of her -- she's too busy winning games.
